Hack The Box Launches ‘Team-Based’ Cyber Simulation Platform

Hack The Box (HTB), a leader in gamified cybersecurity skills development, has launched Threat Range, a team-based cyber incident simulation software designed to help enterprises, MSSPs, governments, and other stakeholders prepare for AI-powered cyberattacks.

According to HTB, Threat Range is purpose-built to equip security teams with the tools and practice environment they need to collaborate against today’s rapidly evolving, AI-enabled attacks. It introduces an expanded catalog covering security operations, incident response, forensics, and threat hunting, delivering realistic end-to-end breach training for security professionals.

The cyber range also enables seamless collaboration between Security Operations Center to Digital Forensics and Incident Response (SOC-to-DFIR) teams, provides access to MITRE ATT&CK-mapped dashboards, and offers audit-ready reporting tools that allow organizations to improve both their mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to respond (MTTR).

HTB’s LetsDefend acquisition

In its official press release, HTB founder and CEO Haris Pylarinos explained that the launch of Threat Range, combined with their recent acquisition of the blue team upskilling platform LetsDefend, allows security teams to train with AI and prepare for AI-driven threats simultaneously.
