
Within the next three years, the U.S. SMB tech support market will be worth more than $15 billion, according to analysts at Parks Associates.

IDC predicts that SMBs will spend more than $125 billion on advanced technology in 2011.

That’s $5 billion more than what they spent in 2010.

70 percent of SMBs said they’ll increase their tech spend over the next 12 months, according to a recent CompTIA survey.

One third of companies expect to increase their budget by 10 percent or more—CompTIA believes this reflects large, one-time purchases.

On average, SMB IT budgets will increase by just over 5 percent, according to survey participants.

42 percent of SMBs have mobile technologies in place and 33 percent plan to buy more within the next 12 months.

Nearly one-third of SMBs have adopted cloud computing technology and another 35 percent of all SMBs plan to use the cloud in some form in the next year.

Storage and backup solutions are the most heavily used cloud applications with 71 percent of SMBs using the cloud in this way.
