Technology stocks took another beating Monday as global markets continued to bend under the pressure of the economic downturn.

Over the last week, technology stocks fell into the red. The only exceptions were the virtualization vendors–VMware, Citrix Systems and EMC–which in the past two days have climed where others have fell.
