Leading privacy and security software provider OneTrust recently announced the introduction of a new “market-defining platform” to help organizations use data and AI responsibly.

Automation and compliance are key focus areas for OneTrust

OneTrust Compliance Automation, which helps streamline how organizations prepare for regulatory or certification requirements, will now offer over 50 out-of-the-box frameworks and expanded functionality on the OneTrust Platform.

Compliance Automation builds on OneTrust’s already established proprietary evidence framework, which has enabled teams of all sizes to cut down on compliance efforts by up to 60 percent.

The new capability combines out-of-the-box content, automated project management, and measurable reporting to assist businesses in scaling taxed resources, optimizing processes, and driving efficiencies throughout the entire compliance lifecycle.

“Today’s leading companies are focusing on the responsible use of data and AI,” said Blake Brannon, Chief Product & Strategy Officer at OneTrust. “With the launch of Compliance Automation, we have revolutionized how compliance is managed. Our proprietary shared evidence framework consolidates all compliance requirements and standards into a single, unified system, using data posture and integrations to automate many of the traditional manual compliance tasks.”

Platform play promises enablement and efficiency across project management and education

According to OneTrust, Compliance Automation enables organizations to do the following:

  • Propel teams from research to action by streamlining the learning curve and reducing the burden on high-cost resources, allowing teams to stay ahead of evolving standards and regulations.
  • Drive compliance efficiencies through OneTrust’s suite of tools and regulatory guidance that allows teams to break down complex requirements into actionable tasks, automate evidence collection, and “comply once, comply many” with flexible precision to de-duplicate workstreams with tailored project management and dynamic reporting.
  • Integrate project management and reporting into a cohesive, scalable capability to fast-track audit-readiness for industry and regulatory compliance. Additionally, organizations can more easily demonstrate compliance to customers and partners through OneTrust’s Trust Profile and AI-powered questionnaire response capabilities.

“Through the expanded functionality of Compliance Automation on the OneTrust platform, organizations can unify privacy and security compliance and centralize context to reduce redundant work,” said Harpreet Shergill, Director of Regulatory Intelligence at OneTrust.

What does ideal deployment of Compliance Automation look like for organizations? Key qualities include:

  • Planning and implementing new requirements and updated frameworks is assisted through Compliance Automation by helping organizations quickly assess their compliance posture and identify operational gaps.
  • Evaluate control effectiveness and measure your operations against framework requirements.
  • Leverage a risk-based approach to understand how compliance efforts align with broader business goals and make informed decisions on resource allocation.
