Simplifying the transition to modern telecom cloud deployments

Under this initiative, Nokia will integrate Dell’s technology as its preferred infrastructure partner for AirFrame customers, streamlining the transition to Dell’s infrastructure and PowerEdge servers tailored for efficient telecom network handling.

Concurrently, Dell will implement Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) as its preferred private wireless platform, integrating it with NativeEdge, to offer a scalable platform for enterprise edge use cases.

The two companies will collaborate on platform testing, application testing, and lifecycle management in the Dell Open Telecom Ecosystem Lab and plan to certify workloads on Dell’s Telecom Infrastructure Blocks, which support Nokia Cloud offerings.

Integrated solutions for edge use cases and private mobile networks

Dennis Hoffman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Telecom Systems Business at Dell Technologies, emphasized the strategic significance of the partnership, stating, “Through our collaboration, Nokia and Dell Technologies will harness each company’s expertise and expanded distribution to simply and quickly scale modern telecom networks and private 5G use cases.”

Nishant Batra, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer at Nokia, shared similar sentiments, saying, “Dell’s digital transformation expertise and global scale, services, and support will provide a seamless transition option for Nokia AirFrame customers, and Nokia’s vast experience in the design, deployment, and operation of high-performance public and private mobile networks will provide Dell’s customers with a comprehensive, scalable private wireless solution.”

A network of opportunities for suppliers

The collaboration presents new opportunities for channel partners to deliver telecom solutions and foster business growth. Through the combination of Dell’s digital transformation expertise and Nokia’s mobile network deployment experience, resellers and MSPs can offer easy transitions for Nokia AirFrame customers and scalable private wireless solutions for Dell’s clientele, unlocking opportunities in the growing telecom cloud market.
