RSA has appointed Chris Clinton as director of worldwide channels, a new role at the security division of EMC.

Clinton comes to RSA from software vendor Citrix Systems, where he served as director of worldwide business development. He joined Citrix in 2002 to run its North American marketing services and quickly was promoted to run the company’s North American channel programs, operations and marketing in 2003. He led that company’s channel marketing and programs from 2003 through 2006.

Before Citrix, Clinton held various sales and marketing positions at the vice president and director levels at Neoware, PDS Software, Vector and Aris Consulting, and management positions with Ryder and the American Automobile Association.
