CoreX has launched AI Horizon, a new ServiceNow-focused approach designed to help enterprises move AI from isolated experiments into governed business workflows as organizations look for clearer ways to deploy the technology at scale.

CEO Rick Wright says that shift is reinforcing the need for platforms like ServiceNow to serve as an orchestration layer connecting AI with the processes and controls businesses still need to operate reliably.

“People need to really think differently about ServiceNow,” Wright told Channel Insider. “It is all the enterprise data, this great workflow platform. But now, how do you optimize it for this world of AI?”

ServiceNow becomes an orchestration layer for enterprise AI

According to Wright, customers gaining access to new AI capabilities through their ServiceNow investments are often still wrestling with basic questions: what the technology can do, whether their data is ready, how governance should work, and where AI can produce measurable value.

Those questions are changing the traditional professional services engagement.

Where a typical ServiceNow ITSM, HR, or customer service implementation might run 12 to 16 weeks and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars or more, Wright said CoreX is increasingly starting AI engagements with shorter strategy, readiness, and governance projects.

From there, the model becomes iterative: identify a high-value use case, deploy it, drive adoption, optimize performance, and continue on to the next opportunity within the business.

“It’s just this little flywheel that gets spinning faster and faster as people start to understand: I get it now. It’s achievable. People are using it. I’m getting value out of it,” Wright said.

AI Horizon offering built to scale across core outcomes

AI Horizon formalizes that process through three stages:

  • Orient provides a roughly one-hour assessment of a customer’s current position and potential opportunities.
  • Chart is a half- to full-day working session focused on business priorities, data foundations, and initial use cases.
  • Expand moves customers into scoped delivery.

CoreX has also organized the offering around five outcomes: Effortless Employee Service, Digital Workforce, Governed AI at Scale, AI Strategy to Execution, and Value that Compounds through its CoreXtend managed services.

The provider has also invested heavily in its internal understanding and use of AI across delivery and operations, and created an Agentic AI Lab based in Guadalajara, Mexico, following its 2025 acquisition of Volteo Digital.

Governance becomes critical as enterprises deploy more AI

Even as AI accelerates software configuration and implementation, Wright cautioned that enterprises themselves cannot necessarily transform at the same speed.

Requirements gathering, business process design, architecture, governance, and the change management associated with adoption still require time and effort.

“Change management’s becoming the long pole in the tent, for sure,” Wright said, noting that organizational change management is becoming a larger component of CoreX projects as AI introduces more significant changes to how employees interact with enterprise systems.

AI changes implementation, but not the need for partners

For ServiceNow partners, the shift toward AI-enabled workflows does not necessarily diminish the need for implementation services.

CoreX is already using AI internally to accelerate portions of its own professional services work, and Wright expects AI tools to increasingly assist with tasks across the implementation lifecycle.

But he said the underlying work remains largely the same: understanding the business problem, translating it into the right workflows, implementing the technology, and ensuring employees can successfully adopt the changes.

As AI agents become embedded in more business processes, customers will need help deciding where automation makes sense, integrating those capabilities with existing systems, establishing governance, and determining where human oversight remains necessary.

For CoreX, that is ultimately the opportunity behind AI Horizon. Rather than positioning AI as a replacement for enterprise platforms or the partners that implement them, the company sees ServiceNow as the orchestration layer connecting AI to governed business processes—and partners as the organizations helping customers design and manage that transition.
