Arrow, Wireless Glue Networks, OSIsoft Give IoT, Big Data Demo
At Dell World this week, Arrow Electronics, Wireless Glue Networks and OSIsoft showed off a visualization of data streamed live from Arrow’s Phoenix facility.
Dell’s new Edge Gateway 5000 Series, running Linux Ubuntu OS and Wireless Glue’s SmartEdge software, streamed data—including real-time energy usage and asset security information—from Arrow’s Phoenix facility to OSIsoft’s PI System. Arrow’s Systems Integration business developed a dashboard using the OSIsoft’s PI Coresight tool to make the information accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world.
“It’s these types of capabilities that will enable pervasive monitoring and utilization of data across industry and the suppliers of those industries to deliver a connected world,” Martin Otterson, senior vice president of sales, marketing and industry at OSIsoft, said in a statement.
