Pure Storage, a data storage technology and services provider, recently announced two new enhancements to ensure an organization’s data is accessible wherever needed and improve resilience to cyber threats.
Expanding workload coverage into the public cloud
The first enhancements are to the Pure Storage Platform, making it easier for organizations to fully leverage AI, streamline workflows across on-premises and cloud environments, and ensure accessibility.
Pure Storage’s platform enables data mobility, agility, and consistency across distributed infrastructures for an organization’s full workload and protocol spectrum.
Among the new enhancements is an expansion of the Enterprise Data Cloud into the public cloud with Pure Storage Cloud.
Pure Storage Cloud unifies a data landscape for IT leaders managing a hybrid cloud storage infrastructure, ensuring data is where it’s needed to power new innovation and make it fully accessible in the cloud so AI tools can leverage and train on the data.
With the new Pure Storage Cloud Azure Native Integrations program, Pure Storage is delivering a service built for the Azure VMware Solution. Customers can now reduce overhead, migrate seamlessly without refactoring, and decouple storage from compute. The solution is offered as a fully managed Azure native service with enterprise-grade resiliency and efficiency.
Portworx now integrates with Pure Fusion
The next addition to the Pure Storage platform is Portworx by Pure Storage Integration with Pure Fusion. The integration of Portworx with Pure Fusion will enable enterprises to maintain a single, unified platform for managing data and storage across all workloads. It extends fleet management capabilities to modern containerized cloud-native applications and Kubevirt-based VMs across any environment.
Pure Storage is also expanding its Pure1 AI Copilot with the first AI-powered platform engineering assistant for Portworx customers. This will enable users to query Portworx clusters in the same manner as they interact with FlashArray systems. Further, users can now monitor their Kubernetes and Portworx clusters at scale with instant interaction with an AI agent on the Pure1 Copilot user interface.
The Pure1 AI Copilot will also see integration with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers in Q4 FY2026. This will enable IT teams to troubleshoot, provision, or optimize without deep technical expertise.
Pure Storage also aims to reduce infrastructure costs through NVIDIA Dynamo integration
Lastly, Pure Storage is making enhancements to improve efficiency by reducing the consumption of expensive infrastructure resources.
To do this, Pure Storage is introducing Pure Key Value Accelerator integration with NVIDIA Dynamo for AI Inference, Purity Deep Reduce, and updates to the Next-Gen FlashArray Portfolio.
The Key Value Accelerator is a high-performance key-value caching solution designed to accelerate AI inference workloads in multi-GPU environments. It will now integrate with the NVIDIA Dynamo framework to increase inference speeds up to 20 times, lower computational overhead, and reduce carbon footprints.
Purity Deep Reduce is a data reduction engine that utilizes advanced pattern recognition and similarity-based reduction technologies to improve efficiency and deliver high data reduction ratios without significant performance tradeoffs.
The Next-Gen FlashArray Portfolio will expand with FlashArray//XL 190– generally available in Q4 FY2026– and FlashArray//X R5, which is generally available now.
Expanding cyber resilience capabilities
Among other announcements by Pure Storage are new innovations in the Pure Storage platform and deeper partner integrations to deliver improved cyber resilience.
The new capabilities enable the Pure Storage platform to provide built-in abilities to detect, respond to, and recover from threats rapidly, while leveraging the partner ecosystem to integrate best-of-breed cybersecurity and data protection solutions.
“The Pure Storage platform transforms your global storage environment into an Enterprise Data Cloud, supporting your AI and data security strategies,” said Charles Giancarlo, chairman and CEO of Pure Storage. “Data architecture is a strategic decision. Business success depends on leveraging data– and how teams can effectively manage and secure it across their global data estate.”
Among the new detection capabilities that integrate into existing built-in security tools and workflows are:
- Real-time Threat Evaluation and Response with CrowdStrike Threat-Graph and Falcon Next-Gen SIEM Integration: With CrowdStrike Threat-Graph detecting malicious activity affecting Pure Storage arrays, this partnership is turning storage threat and log data into practical security insights. Integration with CrowdStrike Falcon NG-Siem automates and accelerates incident response by automatically updating policies, replicating, and isolating critical systems to contain threats. Alerts also enable security teams to respond proactively before damage occurs. This solution will be generally available in Q3 FY2026.
- File and User Monitoring and Remediation with Superna: Pure Storage is partnering with Superna to offer file and user monitoring that targets attacks– such as data exfiltration or double-extortion ransomware. Superna Data Security Essentials will integrate with FlashArray and FlashBlade, providing automated, real-time threat detection and response at the data layer. Accounts are instantly locked when they’re compromised and malicious activity is detected, with security policies enforced automatically. This solution is generally available now.
“This partnership between Superna and Pure Storage brings together best-in-class performance and uncompromising security,” said Steven Arlin, the vice president of global technology alliances at Superna. “Together, we’re helping customers not only unlock the full power of their data, but also defend it against today’s toughest cyber threats– without complexity, without compromise.”
Pure Storage is also introducing new recovery capabilities that enable organizations to restart safely and recover data more quickly. These new solutions include:
- Cyber Resilience as a Service with Veeam: This service offers a cloud-like consumption model, providing enhanced security and a faster time to remediation during an attack. It is an SLA-backed cyber recovery solution that simplifies operations and management, resulting in a reduced total cost of ownership. It will be generally available in Q4 of FY2026.
- Pure Protect Recovery Zones: These new recovery zones enable the automatic provisioning of clean recovery environments. Isolated recovery environments (IREs) allow businesses to test and validate applications and data non-disruptively, or to remediate and recover from malicious attacks without impacting a production environment. It will be generally available in Q4 FY2026.
