Zebra Technologies has announced leadership changes across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, appointing Tom Christodoulou as Sales Vice President for Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), Southeast Asia (SEA), and Korea; and naming Christanto Suryadarma to the newly created role of Head of Partnerships for APAC.

Christodoulou takes on expanded territory in APAC

According to the company, the appointments were made to help businesses across the region address ongoing labor shortages, supply chain disruptions, and the need to modernize operations in order to stay competitive.

Previously Vice President of Sales for ANZ and the India subcontinent, Tom Christodoulou will now oversee an expanded territory spanning ANZ, SEA, and Korea. He will be based in Singapore.

“Organizations are under immense pressure to improve productivity and meet rising customer expectations,” said Tom Christodoulou, sales vice president for ANZ, SEA, and Korea. “We will continue helping businesses solve these challenges with intelligent automation, and I’m excited to deepen our collaboration to support their critical modernization journeys.”

With more than two decades of industry experience, Christodoulou will focus on helping APAC-based organizations build more resilient supply chains by providing frontline teams with real-time asset visibility and AI-driven decision-making.

Zebra Technologies added that Christodoulou will be supported by a local leadership team, including Brett Newstead, sales director for ANZ, and Heejung Seo, country lead for South Korea.

Suryadarma to foster ‘intelligent ops’ in APAC

Meanwhile, Christanto Suryadarma’s new role as Head of Partnerships for APAC will see him leading Zebra’s partnership strategy, pushing to further expand its partner ecosystem to deliver asset visibility, connected frontline workers, and intelligent automation solutions for the retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and healthcare industries.

“Our partners are essential for deploying solutions that build more intelligent operations for customers,” said Christanto Suryadarma, head of partnerships for APAC.

“I look forward to empowering our ecosystem with stronger collaboration and the best solutions to solve the intelligent operations challenges of today and tomorrow.”

Formerly the Sales Vice President of SEA, Korea and Channels for Asia Pacific (excluding China), Suryadarma has more than 25 years of regional leadership experience and is poised to modernize operations in the APAC region.

Other key appointments for Zebra Tech in APAC

In addition to the leadership changes above, Zebra also named two new country leaders in APAC:

  • Subramaniam Thiruppathi has been appointed Country Lead for the India Subcontinent (ISC), bringing nearly two decades of experience at Zebra and a track record of accelerating technology adoption across the region’s manufacturing, retail, and logistics sectors.
  • Joelle Booi has been named Country Lead for Singapore, offering more than 15 years of experience advancing technology adoption across Singapore’s public and private sectors, with a focus on manufacturing and AI.

Zebra also announced that Ryan Goh, formerly Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific, will now also lead the company’s Global OEM business.

Goh says Zebra Technologies’ revamped leadership bench in APAC allows them to meet the ever-changing demands in the region, while simultaneously leveraging the new leaders’ deep expertise as businesses continue to navigate the AI era.

“The pace of change across APAC is accelerating rapidly. Businesses, especially those in India and Japan, are facing significant pressure from increasingly disrupted supply chains and rising labour shortfalls,” said Ryan Goh, senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific and Global OEM.

“Our expanded leadership bench across APAC strategically positions our best talent to collaborate closely with our customers and partners, driving productivity and advancing digital capabilities. This team’s deep expertise will be crucial in guiding organizations, as they adopt intelligent automation to build more resilient operations and empower the connected frontline workforce.”

Last year, Zebra Technologies opened a new location in Australia to meet rising demand in the region. Read more about the new location and how it supports the company’s global expansion strategy and push for broader partner growth.
