Yugabyte is launching a global partner program built around referral and resale models, giving channel partners new incentives, deal protection, training, and go-to-market support to build database modernization practices around YugabyteDB.

The program is designed to help partners generate recurring revenue as enterprises modernize legacy data infrastructure and prepare applications for AI workloads.

Yugabyte offers referral and resale partner models

The program is a unified global initiative that helps partners modernize enterprise database workloads and deliver AI-ready applications.

It provides partners with a consistent framework for engaging with Yugabyte, backed by incentives, technical enablement, and joint go-to-market strategies.

The program offers two engagement models, including:

  • Refer Partners: Introduce qualified opportunities to Yugabyte and earn uncapped referral incentives.
  • Resell Partners: Sell YugabyteDB directly, own the customer relationship, and generate recurring revenue through software resale.

“The shift to AI-ready applications is fundamentally changing what enterprises need from their data infrastructure,” said Karthik Ranganathan, co-founder & CEO of Yugabyte. “Organizations building a robust data foundation for agentic enterprise rely on trusted partners to provide critical strategies and insights needed, not just to modernize mission-critical databases, but also to architect the resilient, globally scalable platforms that meet tomorrow’s AI demands.”

“We’re investing in an ecosystem that gives those partners everything they need to help customers accelerate their transformations and build long-term business engagement with Yugabyte,” Ranganathan added.

Program targets database modernization and AI infrastructure

Through the program, partners can build recurring database modernization and AI infrastructure practices while helping customers replace legacy databases with YugabyteDB, a distributed PostgreSQL database.

Partners gain access to the technology, resources, and commercial model needed to build around enterprise data modernization, either through referral engagements or by delivering complete modernization projects through resale.

Yugabyte also provides deal protection, Yugabyte training and certification, joint go-to-market planning, marketing support, proof-of-concept resources, and streamlined onboarding to help partners generate profit.

“Our partners are already delivering the hardest version of this work, standing up YugabyteDB centers of excellence inside major banks and training engineers on distributed PostgreSQL in a matter of weeks,” said Rohan Thomas, VP of Global Partner Sales and Business Development at Yugabyte. “This program exists to make that repeatable in every market we operate in.”

Wipro highlights financial services modernization opportunity

The new program features hyperscalers and partners including: Wipro, Sonata Software, Mindgate, Takara, Ispirer, eGuardian, Ory, Hexacluster, Arus, and others across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

“Financial services institutions are modernizing mission-critical systems while preparing their data estates for AI, and they expect zero compromise on resilience,” said Srinivasaa HG, Sr. Vice President and Global Head, Data, Analytics & AI, Wipro Ltd.

“Our partnership with Yugabyte gives Wipro a distributed SQL foundation for exactly those transformations, from legacy database exits to always-on digital core platforms. The new partner program adds the structure, protection, and economics to scale that practice globally, and we intend to lead with it.”
