Provider of IT and OT monitoring solutions, Paessler GmbH, recently announced the appointment of Jason Teichman as CEO.

Helmut Binder shifts to executive chairman role as Teichman takes the helm

The veteran tech executive will succeed Helmut Binder, who will continue serving as the company’s Executive Chairman and Advisor.

Teichman most recently served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at WP Engine, overseeing the end-to-end customer journey, including sales, channel partnerships, customer success, and retention.

“I’m excited to join Paessler at such a pivotal time in the company’s journey,” said Teichman. “Network administrators are the backbone of modern business operations, yet they often work behind the scenes with increasingly complex responsibilities. At Paessler, we recognize their crucial role and are committed to developing solutions that not only solve their technical challenges, but also truly enhance their daily work experience. Our goal is to be the trusted partner that helps these professionals keep their networks running securely, efficiently, and reliably so that their businesses can operate without interruption.”

Teichman also served as CEO of Pond5, a video-first content marketplace; EVP and COO at Web.com, now part of Network Solutions, a domain portfolio manager; and SVP of marketing and product management at Register.com, another Network Solutions brand.

“What attracted me to Paessler was the company’s genuine dedication to making life better for the IT professionals who rely on its solutions every day,” said Teichman. “In my conversations with customers and the Paessler team, it’s clear that our commitment to simplifying the monitoring of complex IT, OT, and IoT environments is more important than ever. I’m particularly impressed by how Paessler is working on leveraging AI to provide predictive insights and proactive monitoring capabilities to help network administrators stay ahead of potential issues, and I’m excited to build on this foundation and further strengthen our partnership with our customers and channel partners worldwide.”

Monitoring capabilities address visibility concerns across IT, IoT, and cloud data

Paessler’s infrastructure monitoring capabilities and flagship PRTG Network Monitor product deliver comprehensive visibility and a depth of data across IT, OT, IoT, and cloud ecosystems. In 2024, the company received investment funding from Turn/River Capital to accelerate its product innovation roadmap, introduce AI-powered anomaly detection with adaptive baselines, and expand IT/OT integrations.

“Jason’s proven record of scaling global businesses, while also driving innovation and a customer-first strategy perfectly aligns with Paessler’s vision,” said Joanne Yuan, Partner, Investments, of Turn/River Capital. “We are confident that under Jason’s leadership, Paessler will continue to innovate and expand its leadership in monitoring solutions. We also want to express our sincere gratitude to Helmut Binder for his exceptional guidance in driving Paessler to new heights. We look forward to his continued contributions as Executive Chairman and Advisor.”

Paessler’s North American MSP Program

Teichman joins Paessler at a time of significant channel growth for the IT and OT monitoring solutions provider.

Back in April, the company launched its first-ever dedicated MSP program for North America, designed to help MSPs grow their businesses through a scalable, predictable, and profitable model.

Among the key benefits of the program are:

  • Flexible licensing model aligned with MSP business needs.
  • Service-led approach enabling tailored offerings.
  • Enhanced collaboration with dedicated support and joint pitching opportunities.
  • Increased co-marketing investment.
  • Official recognition on Paessler’s MSP page.
  • Access to dedicated sales resources.
  • Incentivized tiered discounting for business expansion.
