SmartBear has expanded its partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp. to strengthen its public sector go-to-market strategy and deepen engagement with the government-focused channel ecosystem, the companies announced Tuesday.

The expanded agreement positions Carahsoft as SmartBear’s Master Government Aggregator, giving federal, state, and local agencies simplified access to SmartBear’s software quality and application visibility portfolio through Carahsoft’s extensive reseller network and contract vehicles.

SmartBear pursues channel-driven access to government buyers

For SmartBear, the move reinforces the channel’s role in reaching government customers that often require specialized procurement pathways and trusted intermediaries.

Carahsoft’s long-standing relationships with public-sector resellers and systems integrators are expected to play a central role in expanding SmartBear’s footprint across agencies with stringent compliance and security requirements.

“Public Sector teams rely on SmartBear’s secure, on-premise solutions such as ReadyAPI and TestComplete to ensure mission-critical applications perform flawlessly,” said Joe Tong, SVP of Global Channel Partnerships at SmartBear.

“Expanding our partnership with Carahsoft gives agencies faster, more direct access to our full portfolio of AI-powered tools through its trusted procurement channels,” Tong continued.

Expanded portfolio for reseller partners

Through the agreement, Carahsoft and its reseller partners can now offer SmartBear’s full product suite to public sector customers, including Swagger, Reflect, and BugSnag, alongside established offerings.

SmartBear’s tools will also be available through the AWS Marketplace, giving partners additional flexibility in how solutions are delivered and deployed.

Zephyr, SmartBear’s test management and automation solution for Jira, remains available through Carahsoft in the Atlassian Marketplace, preserving an existing sales motion familiar to many government-focused partners.

Supporting DevSecOps initiatives across agencies

Carahsoft framed the partnership expansion as a way for its partner ecosystem to support government DevSecOps initiatives while helping agencies modernize application development and testing workflows.

“SmartBear is helping our Government customers pioneer innovation in software quality and embrace the transformative potential of AI,” said Natalie Gregory, Vice President for DevSecOps Solutions at Carahsoft.

“Carahsoft and our reseller partners look forward to working with SmartBear to help Public Sector teams improve the building, testing, release and monitoring of applications,” Gregory continued.

Contract vehicles ease procurement

SmartBear’s solutions are now available through Carahsoft’s SEWP V contracts NNG15SC03B and NNG15SC27B, ITES-SW2 Contract W52P1J-20-D-0042, and NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement #AR2472, a move aimed at accelerating deal cycles for channel partners while aligning with government procurement requirements.
