Caylent, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Tier Services Partner, has acquired Trek10 Inc., another Premier Tier partner, in a move designed to create what Caylent CEO Lori Williams calls “the most comprehensive dedicated AWS services partner in the industry.”

The acquisition, backed by private equity firm Gryphon Investors, is designed to expand Caylent’s reach into managed services. It will also help guide customers through the entire AWS journey, from strategy to operations and AI-driven innovation.

Why the companies are combining expertise across the AWS lifecycle

The two companies are combining their powers across migration, modernization, data and analytics, generative AI, and DevOps. Caylent adds its six AWS Partner of the Year awards to Trek10’s expertise in IoT, travel and hospitality, and retail.

“This combination establishes the most comprehensive dedicated AWS services partner in the industry,” said Williams. “By uniting Trek10’s proven CloudOps platform and managed services capabilities with Caylent’s agentic delivery model, we are delivering full lifecycle AI era services focused on enhancing customer outcomes.”

Trek10’s CEO Shane Fimbel echoed the sentiment: “Joining forces with Caylent unlocks extraordinary opportunities for our customers. Our teams share a commitment to AWS excellence and innovation.”

What this means for customers

With the deal, customers don’t have to juggle multiple providers anymore; they get one trusted partner to help them move and scale faster, keep their AWS environments secure, and provide support across four main areas:

  • Forward-deployed strategy: Partnering with leaders to shape cloud-first strategies and operating models that drive real business results.
  • Agentified migration and modernization: Speeding up migrations and modernizations with AI automation, proven frameworks, and Caylent’s Accelerate IP.
  • Custom product innovation: Creating machine learning platforms, serverless apps, and AI-powered experiences to keep customers competitive.
  • Managed services: Leveraging Trek10’s CloudOps platform for 24/7 monitoring, 15-minute response times, and continuous optimization.

Looking ahead

For AWS customers, this is really about making the whole cloud journey easier. Instead of piecing things together, they now have one partner they can count on from start to finish. The combined team is set up to lead the way for organizations running AWS in the AI era.

As Williams summed it up, “Organizations now have a single partner to guide their evolution on AWS with AI-powered speed, software-like scalability, and continuous optimization built in.”

The deal builds on Caylent’s recent research into database migrations, which showed how AI helps reduce downtime and ease vendor lock-in. With Trek10 now on board, Caylent is extending that same focus to every stage of the AWS journey.
