Portal26, a provider of a GenAI adoption management platform, has announced a $9 million Series A round of funding led by Shasta Ventures.
The round also included support from AI and deep tech investor Fusion Fund, as well as the venture arm of a Fortune 500 financial services company. The new capital will support Portal26’s continued growth and product innovation.
Transitioning to the new normal of work
In an official press release, Portal26 positioned its platform as a solution for generative AI-focused enterprises to “manage and measure all aspects of AI adoption,” as they seek to harness the innovation potential of artificial intelligence.
“We built Portal26 to provide the visibility, security, governance, and strategic analytics necessary for companies to manage their transition for the new normal of how work gets done in the enterprise,” said Arti Raman, chief executive officer of Portal26.
“We are excited to partner with Shasta to expand our ability to enable companies to successfully extract the full value of Generative AI,” Raman added.
Jacob Mullins, managing director at Shasta Ventures, highlighted Portal26 as a company solving important problems in “transformative ways.”
“We are excited to partner with Portal26 and to provide the resources and support needed to accelerate its growth. As the first and leading GenAI Adoption Management Platform, its innovative approach to finding GenAI in the enterprise, securing it, and enabling measurable ROI, is a great example of the kind of leadership and creativity we seek to back,” Mullins said.
“We look forward to helping Portal26 continue to build something extraordinary and sustain its strong growth,” he added.
Previously, Portal26 raised a $6 million seed round in 2022. Since its launch, the company’s GenAI Adoption Management Platform has evolved into a comprehensive resource for governing the enterprise’s GenAI consumption.
Poised for strong growth in the enterprise market
Meanwhile, Lu Zhang, founder and managing partner at Fusion Fund, expressed her strong support for Portal26’s mission to become the industry standard for GenAI governance, security, and strategy within enterprises.
“This round comes at a time when Portal26 has a mature, enterprise-grade solution that monitors hundreds of thousands of enterprise GenAI users. With exceptionally high customer trust and excellent support from ecosystem partners, Portal26 is poised for strong growth,” Zhang said.
In addition to the Series A announcement, Portal26 CEO Raman shared his enthusiasm for the company’s recent milestones, which include partnerships across the security, systems integrator, reseller, and hyperscaler ecosystems.
Portal26 is available in various standalone and integration-based architectures. Its platform covers real-time zero-day ShadowAI detection, GenAI security and policy enforcement, GenAI Forensic Audit, GenAI Risk Management, GenAI intent and use case analysis, and GenAI cost and license analytics, among others.
