Enterprise AI can automate decisions faster, but it can also scale the consequences of bad data.
Precisely introduced the Precisely Platform on Tuesday, a unified data management system designed to help organizations prepare and govern data for AI without moving everything into a single environment.
The platform combines data integration, quality, governance and enrichment across cloud systems, lakehouses, on-premises infrastructure, mainframes and SAP. For partners helping customers deploy AI across fragmented environments, the pitch is straightforward: improve the data feeding those systems before automation magnifies existing errors.
That matters as companies move from AI experiments to systems that can make decisions with less human intervention. Precisely argues that errors once caught by employees can increasingly flow through automated systems and affect decisions at scale.
IDC Vice President Stewart Bond said organizations “continue to struggle with fragmented data environments” as pressure to operationalize AI increases. He said the shift toward unified data intelligence platforms reflects the need to combine integration, quality and governance.
Precisely makes data quality measurable
Precisely is putting measurable controls at the center of the platform. It can profile, validate, standardize, match and reconcile data while tracking lineage and applying governance policies. Each data asset can also receive quality and governance scores, giving business teams a way to see which information is ready for AI and where problems remain.
Embedded AI features include automatically generated quality rules, intelligent record matching and recommendations for data enrichment. The goal is to reduce work that traditionally required specialized data expertise.
“Agents don’t stop to question the data they’re given. They act on it at scale, far faster than people can catch and correct errors,” said Matt Waxman, chief product officer at Precisely.
Giving AI more context
One of the platform’s more distinctive elements is its combination of data enrichment and location intelligence. Precisely says it provides hundreds of pre-linked datasets containing location and business attributes, alongside address verification, geocoding and spatial analytics.
Precisely is trying to give AI systems more context than raw enterprise records alone can provide. Its shared semantic layer connects business definitions, data relationships and governance policies so applications can interpret information more consistently.
The approach also avoids a major disruption: companies can manage data where it already lives rather than migrating it into a new ecosystem.
What this means for channel partners
For channel partners, the opportunity is less about selling another standalone data tool and more about helping customers make fragmented environments usable for AI.
Systems integrators, data consultancies and managed service providers could use the platform to unify governance, quality and integration across legacy and cloud systems without forcing customers into a new data stack.
The bigger question is whether companies already invested in best-of-breed tools will see enough value in consolidating around Precisely. Partners will need to assess how well the platform fits existing workflows, reduces complexity and improves AI outcomes in production.
Those factors will matter more than the breadth of the feature list as the platform moves toward general availability.
Connecting AI tools directly
Precisely is also expanding access through its Gio AI assistant, APIs, SDKs and command-line interface. New Model Context Protocol servers connect several Precisely products with AI clients including Claude, Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.
The bigger test will come as the Precisely Platform moves toward general availability in early 2027. Partners will need to see whether the unified approach genuinely reduces integration and governance complexity, or simply adds another management layer to already crowded enterprise data stacks.
