Syncro has launched a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects live operational data from its platform with AI assistants including Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, giving MSP technicians a new way to access and act on ticketing, billing, customer and endpoint data.

The MCP server gives AI assistants access to live ticketing, billing, customer and endpoint management data through Syncro’s platform and open API. Reading information is lightning fast, but anything that creates or changes a record still requires technician approval and stays within each user’s existing permissions.
Syncro CEO Michael George argued the company is taking a different approach than many AI rollouts.
“Most vendors in this industry are bolting a chatbot onto their product and calling it an AI strategy,” said George. “We did something much bigger: we’ve opened the entire platform, and are thrilled to be listed as an approved connector in Claude.”
Automated triage expands Syncro’s AI toolkit
The announcement also expands the AI capabilities built directly into the platform.
Syncro also rolled out Automated Ticket Triage & Dispatch, which basically looks at each new ticket, figures out how urgent it is, and recommends the technician best suited to handle it.
Those recommendations are based on things like workload, availability, skills, and previous work with the customer, but technicians can always make a different call if they need to.
Syncro also said its AI Ticket Summaries feature has generated more than 800,000 summaries for more than 1,000 customers, helping reduce average time-to-action by 25%.
Another feature, Guided Ticket Resolution, is scheduled to arrive in September 2026. Syncro said it will match issues with known fixes and is expected to automatically resolve up to 20% of tickets.
Open APIs push AI beyond the Syncro interface
Rather than treating AI as another destination, Syncro wants it to become another way to interact with the platform. The MCP server and open API make it possible to manage tickets from Slack or Microsoft Teams, turn call transcripts into ticket notes, or generate customer-ready reports using live Syncro data.
Jay McBain, chief analyst at Omdia, said openness and unified platforms are becoming increasingly important as AI assistants take on more day-to-day work.
“A unified platform and an open one shouldn’t be a tradeoff. Syncro exposing its ticket, billing, and customer data through a native MCP server, rather than keeping it walled off behind a single interface, shows those two goals can coexist,” said McBain.
Cisco is doing something similar, saying that AI should work across the tools IT teams already rely on.
