Dallas-based managed security service provider LevelBlue has agreed to a strategic partnership with UK-based channel development firm Kompingo to bring its managed security services and threat intelligence to MSPs and MSSPs in the United Kingdom.

The handshake between the two firms aims to connect LevelBlue’s global capabilities with Kompingo’s regional partner network, enabling local providers to offer advanced cybersecurity services without incurring heavy upfront investment.

MSP partnerships scale security offerings

UK-based MSPs and MSSPs often struggle to deliver layered cybersecurity directly due to limited in‑house team size or expertise. LevelBlue’s services range from strategic consulting through deployment, monitoring, and incident response retainers. Training and threat intelligence offerings complement managed protection, freeing partners from the need to build internal infrastructure.

According to Toby Caton, Director at Kompingo, “LevelBlue’s managed security services, combined with Kompingo’s strong market presence, address a significant regional need, aligning perfectly with our mission to provide a comprehensive cybersecurity ecosystem by supporting local MSPs and MSSPs.”

Recent UK government data indicate that service providers are increasingly opting to outsource advanced cybersecurity functions. This trend is driven by persistent internal skills shortages within organizations. This partnership is likely to address this demand by offering scalable solutions that enhance security capabilities without requiring an expansion of in-house teams.

Filling the security skills gap amid rising threats

Cian Harrington, LevelBlue’s EMEA Channel Director, added, “Cybersecurity is now a business requirement. Our partnership with Kompingo empowers businesses to proactively manage evolving threats and scale their security operations with ease.”

Harrington’s position echoes broader UK market evolution, where rising threats and compliance pressures are pushing firms to seek outsourced security.

Infosecurity Magazine reports that nearly half of UK businesses face cyber skills gaps, and ISC2 data show that 93% of UK cybersecurity professionals acknowledge workforce shortages across cloud, AI, and zero-trust areas. These gaps, combined with the rising cost of data breaches, underscore the urgency for channel partners to expand their security capabilities through third-party managed services.

The LevelBlue–Kompingo partnership offers local MSPs and MSSPs a pathway to expand their offerings, meet enterprise demand, and mitigate risk, all without the need to build a comprehensive security operations capability in-house.
