A new AI-powered SaaS solution from Lemongrass aims to help SAP customers reduce technical debt and accelerate digital transformation efforts.
Clean Core AI Accelerator brings standardization and efficiency to legacy SAP environments
Announced Tuesday, the solution, Clean Core AI Accelerator, offers enterprises a data-driven approach to streamlining complex SAP environments and aligning with SAP’s “clean core” strategy.
The company says this approach encourages customers to minimize custom code and standardize ERP systems as well as enable smoother upgrades, improved performance, and better readiness for AI and cloud integration.
According to Lemongrass, the new tool combines artificial intelligence, graph neural networks, and automation to scan and analyze SAP custom code, map dependencies, and generate clear recommendations for retiring or refactoring legacy components.

Intelligent analysis for SAP environments
The Clean Core AI Accelerator is designed to support a variety of SAP systems, including ECC, EWM, and S/4HANA. Features include automated code scanning, real-time dependency mapping, and smart recommendations across six “R” categories: retire, revert, retain, repurchase, rehost, or refactor. The tool also tracks SAP ERP features dating back to 2005 and aligns analysis with an enterprise’s design and security standards.
Lemongrass said pilot deployments showed a reduction of up to 60% in project time and costs. Covestro, a global supplier of high-performance polymers, is among the early adopters.
