Data management provider Arctera is continuing its mission to enable AI deployments by announcing updates to its Arctera Insight Platform, designed to reduce compliance hurdles.

Product updates aim to enable organizations to capitalize on AI opportunity

Arctera Insight’s new updates enable organizations to fully maximize the opportunities that AI provides, allowing enterprises to capture the input and output of Large Language Models (LLMs) with these new capabilities. Further, the new capabilities chronicle AI data, integrating it with wider employee data to unlock corporate insight and prevent the upload of sensitive data to public AI tools.

Among the new featured updates for the platform are:

  • Capture: Arctera Insight will now be able to capture data from LLMs like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, enabling teams to access data that had previously been a risky compliance blind spot. The update further captures over 120 different sources, including native capture of modern messaging apps, including WhatsApp, Google Messages, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Chronicle: Arctera Insight is introducing InsightBooks, an AI-powered capability that intelligently summarizes information spread across various communication channels, including messages, chats, meeting transcripts, and AI prompts submitted to LLMs. This tool provides context and surface patterns that can be buried in communication sprawl, while assisting in the development of weekly summaries, status reports, and action-item task lists in response to standard or user-submitted prompts.
  • Contain: The tool enables organizations to lift the blanket prohibition of public LLM use and access more AI benefits. Through a free browser plug-in, the tool allows for masking any sensitive information that team members may accidentally try to include in a prompt for an LLM, opening the use of LLMs while containing sensitive data and ensuring compliance.

“AI is fundamentally changing how organizations operate, which brings a new kind of governance challenge,” said Soniya Bopache, VP of Data Compliance at Arctera. “Arctera Insight gives compliance teams the control they’ve been missing, so they can manage AI-generated content with the same clarity as any other information. Arctera Insight is delivering the three Cs of AI governance, empowering organizations to capture, chronicle, and contain their AI data.”

Helping SMBs address costly risks

Recently, Channel Insider’s Victoria Durgin sat down with Arctera’s Global VP of Channels and Alliances, Michael Gray, to discuss market needs and Arctera’s partner network.

“One of the reasons why I really love the channel is that our partners have built trust with these customers that we just can’t access, because we would come in and just sound like another vendor talking about a product,” said Gray. “Partners really serve as trusted advisors for their customers, and they have their ears on what they should be looking for in terms of outcomes.”

Arctera’s partner network is aiming to help SMBs who need enterprise-grade backup, recovery, and data resilience solutions, while lacking the budgets and expertise to utilize those tools. Gray mentions that SMBs in particular remain in the dark about how they would respond to business downtime.

The young company was spun off from Veritas in December 2024, a former partner, to focus almost exclusively on the SMB market. Gray said that Arctera is just at the beginning of their growth journey in providing SMBs support through channel partners.

“The channel becomes almost like a safety net for SMBs,” said Gray. “Our partners are on the front lines every day. They aren’t just selling data solutions, they’re providing peace of mind for business leaders.”

AI security and compliance is a significant sticking point for organizations, as AI adoption and agentic AI use increase. Read more about Vantas AI’s latest AI agent to autonomously handle end-to-end workflows across an organization’s governance, risk, and compliance program.
