Sherweb, a technology and service provider for MSPs, is taking a strategic new approach to cybersecurity, expanding its portfolio of offerings to equip MSPs with the tools to detect and respond to threats in real time.

This strategic approach will enable nearly 8,000 MSPs to deliver customized, scalable security programs to more than 100,000 businesses.

Pairing their expanded portfolio of offerings with expert guidance, Sherweb is taking a guidance-first approach, enabling MSPs to build security programs tailored to the size, industry, and risk profile of the companies they serve.

The CyberMSP Community promises to help partners grow security practices

Sherweb’s guidance-first approach has led to the creation of their CyberMSP Community, a cybersecurity-focused online network.

Created and supported by Sherweb, this new community is built exclusively for MSPs that help partners grow their cybersecurity practices through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and expert guidance. It enables MSP professionals to connect with one another, share best practices, address cybersecurity challenges, and gain peer insights, along with curated threat intelligence and direct support from cybersecurity experts.

“SMBs count on their MSPs to manage security so they can focus on running and scaling their business– but it’s not just about having the right tools,” said Roddy Bergeron, cybersecurity technical fellow at Sherweb. “MSPs need to implement security programs that uncover risk in a business, align with their clients’ business objectives, and help minimize the impact of an incident. With cyber threats growing more complex, we work side by side with MSPs to build responsive, customized programs that might otherwise seem out of reach, so they can protect what matters most to their clients.”

An MSPs perspective

Channel Insider recently caught up with Greenlight Cyber CEO Jason Makevich to get a first-hand perspective on what makes Sherweb a top cybersecurity partner.

“The most important takeaway is that in a market saturated with vendors and with a distribution model that I don’t think serves the MSP community particularly well, I feel Sherweb really cuts through a lot of that noise and delivers value through enablement where these other distributors really fall short,” said Makevich.

Makevich says that one of the most significant benefits of working with Sherweb is that you get out of the partnership what you put into it. With Sherweb’s experts in various areas, Greenlight is able to work with them in complex domains, particularly for all things Microsoft.

“Navigating the partner network with Microsoft is cumbersome, in fact, to the point where there are now companies out there– a cottage industry of companies– that specialize in helping Microsoft partners navigate the partner network,” said Makevich. “We don’t need them because we get the same benefits just by being a partner of Sherweb. We even looked into one of them to see if we are missing anything, and we determined that anything that they would provide, we already have access to.”

Sherweb has been particularly helpful in assisting Greenlight Cyber in navigating Microsoft Copilot, including providing hands-on training.

“Sherweb has provided us with hands-on training for Microsoft Copilot and has been very helpful in getting us to understand how it works and what benefits are working with Copilot Studio building agents to a lot of agentic AI capabilities,” Makevich explained.

Makevich says that if you feel like you need more enablement for the solutions that you offer, especially for anything Microsoft, there’s no other partner out there that’s going to provide the depth of enablement that Sherweb does.

Through Sherweb, Makevich says, you’re getting an enablement partner and not just another distributor. Makevich applauds the organization for having great people to work with, and that you don’t get bounced around from team to team.

“They really do give you a very personal touch to what I think otherwise is very transactional. And they take that transactional part that is still very efficient, but then they add this layer of personal touch, that enablement, and that support and deep engagement that I haven’t seen with any other distributors,” Makevich added.

The expansion of Sherweb’s portfolio offerings comes on the heels of the launch of its white-label Self-Service Portal. Learn more about this new portal and how it will help MSPs focus on revenue-driving work.
