Heimdal is expanding its MSP security reach across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland through a broader distribution agreement with Elovade.

Under the deal, Elovade will distribute Heimdal’s security platform to partners across the DACH region, extending a relationship the companies already use in other European markets.

Regional MSPs will ultimately judge the rollout by how cleanly Heimdal fits the services they already run and the customers they already support.

One console covers a broader security stack

Several security functions sit under the same management layer. The platform combines endpoint and DNS protection with email and Microsoft 365 security, then adds automated patching, privilege management, application control, MXDR and threat hunting.

Heimdal CEO Jesper Frederiksen tied the consolidation pitch to the number of tools security teams already manage, saying many defenders are still working across “five or six security tools that don’t share data.”

Unifying those functions could reduce some of the handoffs across tools in multi-customer environments. Many MSP technology stacks already rely on RMM and PSA platforms alongside security products, so the real question is how smoothly Heimdal can fit into the systems technicians already use without creating extra manual work.

DACH expansion includes partner support

Elovade will provide technical guidance and webinars as part of the agreement. Live demos and sales support are also included, and partners can request a free trial. The company says customers can opt to store data in European data centers.

Aside from distribution, Elovade plans to help MSPs build standardized managed security services around Heimdal’s portfolio. Capabilities can be added according to customer needs instead of moving every account onto the full offering at once.

Relationship history gives the arrangement an established model to build from. Brigantia, now Elovade UK&I, began working with Heimdal about a decade ago. A March 2026 expansion brought the partnership into five Nordic markets before its latest regional expansion.

MSPs should test the stack before consolidating

DACH providers evaluating Heimdal can pressure-test the decision across four areas before moving customer environments.

  1. Map what Heimdal would actually replace. Compare the platform with the security tools already assigned to each service. Start with ticket routing and RMM or PSA connections, then identify any functions that would still require separate products or manual handoffs.
  2. Model the full migration cost. Licensing is only part of the calculation. Include onboarding time, support demands, and any period when old and new products have to run side by side. MSPs dealing with platform sprawl should look at technician time and service margins, and not vendor count alone.
  3. Verify the data-residency details. Customers with regulatory or procurement restrictions may need more than a general European hosting option. Ask which data stays in European facilities, where individual services process information, and how those arrangements appear in customer contracts.
  4. Pilot before standardizing. Start with a small group of representative customers and compare alert handling, patching, and access controls with existing workflows. Review customer reporting as well. If the change cuts vendor count without improving technician time or margin, a larger migration may offer little practical benefit.

A broader rollout makes more sense if consolidation improves service delivery or margins, not simply because it reduces the number of vendor logos in the stack.

Heimdal and Elovade plan to showcase the expanded partnership at the it-sa Expo & Congress in Nuremberg later this month.

The useful questions for regional MSPs will be less about how many security functions Heimdal can bundle and more about how well those functions integrate with existing operations, customer requirements, and service economics.
