Trend Micro Rolls Out Global Partner Program

Trend Micro, a security software provider, has launched its global partner program, combining the best features of its regional and North American partner programs. The rollout of the Trend Micro Partner Program will be completed in the first quarter of 2015.

As part of the revamp, the education program has been simplified and provides two levels of training and certification. The Trend Micro Partner Portal has also been refreshed with new sales and marketing tools. Other updates include clearly defined partner segmentation, an enhanced compensation structure, and a referral partner program targeting “born-in-the-cloud” technology service providers and other trusted advisors.

IndependenceIT Integrates Cloud Workspace Suite on Google Compute Engine

IndependenceIT has integrated its Cloud Workspace Suite, a desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) software platform, with Google Compute Engine infrastructure services. With the Google-enabled Cloud Workspace Suite (CWS), IT service providers will no longer require an experienced IT support team to deploy virtual desktop service/DaaS to deliver any time, anywhere application access for business customers, said the company.

CWS capabilities include a complete cloud workspace delivery such as desktops, applications, back office systems and directory/user management. The automated IndependenceIT solution deployed on Google’s cloud computing infrastructure is said to give service providers a more attractive price point than comparable DaaS platforms. Part of the reason is Google’s plan to reduce cloud infrastructure costs.

AppNeta Launches Partner Program for MSPs

AppNeta launched an Application Performance Management (APM) Partner Program targeting the managed service provider (MSP) market. AppNeta said it is the only vendor to offer full-stack APM in a software-as-a service (SaaS) offering, from the application through the network, and all the way to the end-user.

N-able by SolarWinds, a global provider in remote monitoring and management (RMM), is the first vendor to join the new program. The AppNeta/N-able alliance will focus on co-marketing their offerings—the N-able N-central remote monitoring and management product and the AppNeta full-stack application performance monitoring solutions.

En Pointe Wins L.A. County MS Office 365 Contract

En Pointe Technologies, one of the largest Microsoft Licensing Solutions Providers (LSPs) and systems integrators, has been awarded a five-year contract by Los Angeles County to provide more than 100,000 Microsoft Office 365 for government seats across the county’s more than 30 departments.

The deal is worth $72 million in licensing revenue, making it one of the largest Office 365 implementations in state and local government for Microsoft this year, according to the provider. The contract is expected to save the county more than $2.5 million annually after the first year of the Office 365 implementation.
