Caylent, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, has launched Caylent Accelerate for Application Modernization — an agentic, fleet–driven modernization system designed to help enterprises modernize legacy applications on AWS with greater speed, predictability, and efficiency.

High-quality modernization at speed

Built on Amazon Bedrock, AWS Transform, and Caylent’s agentic orchestration framework, Caylent Accelerate uses coordinated fleets of AI agents working under expert architectural oversight to modernize applications across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

This system delivers consistent and secure modernization outcomes that include code analysis, architecture design, code generation, automated testing, and deployment automation.

“Enterprises are looking for a faster and more predictable way to modernize while preparing their teams for the era of AI. Caylent Accelerate brings together our architectural expertise and orchestrated AI agents to deliver high-quality modernization outcomes at speed,” said Lori Williams, chief executive officer at Caylent.

“It also equips customers with AI-SDLC practices that enable their engineering organizations as they evolve into AI-native enterprises.” Williams added.

How the new offering extends Caylent’s existing modernization strategies

Caylent Accelerate for Application Modernization is part of the company’s comprehensive strategy to help enterprises modernize and adopt AI-enabled delivery practices. It also supports organizations looking to operate on AWS successfully.

Here’s an overview of what the new modernization system provides:

  • AI-powered assessment to decompose legacy applications into business features and functional requirements for accurate planning and modernization path selection
  • Full rewrites to modern, cloud-native architectures
  • Refactoring and microservice extraction to optimize performance and maintainability
  • Framework and language upgrades, including .NET, Java, and other enterprise platforms
  • Automated CI/CD, testing, and observability integration to ensure reliability and continuous improvement
  • Human-validated quality checks and secure deployment practices for compliance and production readiness

The new system expands the Caylent Accelerate portfolio, which already includes offerings for cloud migration and database modernization. Caylent says this expansion reflects a growing enterprise demand for modernization solutions that combine expert engineering with automation and predictable commercial models.

Faster modernization than traditional methods

With the new system, enterprises can execute complex rewrite and refactor modernization paths. Caylent claims Accelerate for Application Modernization can deliver results up to four times faster than traditional methods.

They envision the system improving test coverage, reducing engineering drain, and maintaining compliance readiness.

David Ramsey, head of architecture at Cubic, praised the new system’s AI-powered capabilities, particularly its ability to map modernization paths.

“The Caylent Accelerate assessment went far beyond documentation. It provided an AI-assisted blueprint that clearly defined the modernization path ahead,” Ramsey said.

“Seeing how Caylent’s agentic delivery model can compress what once required multiple teams into the work of a single coordinated team of architects and AI agents gives us confidence that this approach will accelerate our own journey. We see it as the new standard for modernizing complex, mission-critical systems,” he continued.

In October, Caylent acquired Trek10 Inc. to create a full-lifecycle AWS services partner. Learn more about how the acquisition expands Caylent’s managed services offerings and brings AI-driven cloud innovation to its customers.
