Bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC), eBPF and OpenTelemetry (OTel)-native platform, groundcover, is joining the Google Cloud Partner Network as a Select Google Cloud Technology Partner and will now be an approved workload for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Autopilot.
groundcover brings observability to GKE Autopilot
GKE Autopilot is Google’s fully managed Kubernetes cluster and protects users by only running elevated privilege workloads that have been allow-listed by the customer through Google Cloud’s partner program.
Through this integration, groundcover customers running or migrating to GKE Autopilot can:
- Deploy groundcover on Autopilot clusters without modifying applications
- Capture full-stack telemetry through a single eBPF sensor
- Keep Autopilot’s managed operational model fully intact
- Install through Google’s approved allowlisting process for privileged partner workloads
“Autopilot enables teams to stop babysitting their infrastructure, and observability shouldn’t be the one place they still have to compromise,” said John Broad, Head of Partners & Alliances at groundcover. “Getting approved as a partner workload means engineers get the same zero-instrumentation depth of visibility they’d get anywhere else, without breaking Autopilot’s security model to do so.”
groundcover is available as an approved GKE Autopilot partner workload, and teams running new or existing Autopilot clusters can install the groundcover eBPF sensor through Google’s partner allowlisting process and begin collecting full-fidelity telemetry within minutes.
groundcover expands channel strategy
groundcover also recently moved to expand its channel strategy after rapid partner-sourced pipeline growth over the past year.
John Broad told Channel Insider that groundcover is seeking out partners that can connect observability deployments to a client’s broader technology and business priorities.
“We certainly don’t expect any partner to, quote, sell for us,” Broad said. “But give us the context that the customer cares about, and then for us to help work with them and validate [that] those are accurate.”
The company said partners are using the platform to address telemetry costs, monitor cloud-native and AI workloads, and support hybrid or air-gapped environments. groundcover plans to launch self-paced technical and sales certifications in the third quarter of 2026, followed by an MDF program in early 2027.
