Global cybersecurity company Trend Micro has announced a new FedRAMP Authorization to Operate (ATO) for its Trend Vision One for Government platform, helping establish Trend Micro as a leader in compliant zero-trust solutions.

Vision One and zero-trust solutions now available for government customers

This new authorization will enable Trend Micro to bring its platform to federal government customers to help stop adversaries and strengthen their cybersecurity posture. It also establishes Trend Micro as a leader in compliant zero-trust solutions.

“FedRAMP sets the gold standard for customers and industry partners alike,” said Martyn Beal, Federal Government Strategic lead, Australia for Trend Micro. “With our platform now receiving FedRAMP Authorization, ANZ customers and cloud service providers with US-based client services can fully leverage Trend’s unmatched threat intelligence and risk management capabilities. This enables customers to understand their environments, meet zero trust requirements, and innovate with security and confidence.”

Trend Vision One for Government platform capabilities

Trend Micro said its platform is purpose-built to enable agencies to track cyberattacks across their organizations, giving security teams stronger visibility and faster response times.

With the new authorization, Trend Micro will bring its advanced endpoint security and AI capabilities to government customers building out hybrid architectures that extend across multiple cloud and on-premises environments.

The benefits of Trend Vision One for Government include:

  • Greater visibility with integrated sensors deployed across multiple environments coupled with top-tier threat intelligence and an intuitive use interface that allows agencies to understand their zero-trust architectures and meet the most demanding requirements.
  • Faster detection and response through dynamic detection models and proactive policy management that allows government customers to spot IOCs that other platforms miss and update their environments to defend against those threats to government customers.
  • Improved security team efficiency through continuous threat hunting and monitoring for updated IOCs across any environment which allows government security teams to prioritize their time to drive real security and risk management across agency enterprises.

What is FedRAMP?

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) was established in 2011 as a government-wide initiative aimed at providing a cost-effective, risk-based approach to the adoption and use of cloud services by the federal government.

It is designed to empower agencies to securely use advanced cloud technologies for greater operational agility, cost efficiency, and innovation. The program empowers agencies to utilize modern cloud technologies, with an emphasis on the security and protection of federal information.

FedRAMP is codified as the authoritative standardized approach to security assessment and authorization for cloud computing products and services that process unclassified federal information.

Trend Micro recently expanded its Vision One platform to focus on AI integration and partner education for boosting cybersecurity for MSPs and SMBs. Read more about 2024 Vision One program enhancements and platform updates.
