Tech Data Enhances Its Cloud Program

Tech Data continues to expand its cloud business with several additions to its TDCloud product portfolio. TDCloud, powered by StreamOne, is the distributor’s end-to-end provisioning, billing and marketing platform for solution providers. The proprietary platform will be available to resellers and managed service providers (MSPs) to share with end users through white-label stores later this year.

Tech Data also expanded its cloud portfolio with several new agreements. The distributor announced an exclusive agreement with BitTitan, a cloud-enablement provider of end-to-end solutions for migration and on-boarding, to offer its suite of software solutions throughout Europe. BitTitan will be available to solution providers globally via the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store.

Tech Data also announced that TDCloud now offers the full portfolio of SkyKick products to its solution providers in the United States. SkyKick’s products enable IT solution providers to move their customers’ businesses to Microsoft Office 365. The portfolio also is available in the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store.

Another addition to the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store includes Office 365 Adoption via an agreement with MessageOps and CloudGenera’s suite of solutions, such as assessment offerings and a cloud analytics platform. The distributor also announced its plan to offer Insightly, a CRM software company that integrates with Microsoft Office 365/Outlook 2013.

AWS Adds Partners, Resources

Amazon Web Services (AWS), announced that Looker, Qlik, Sumo Logic and Works Applications are the latest enterprise software providers building their solutions on the AWS Cloud. These partners join other ISVs, including Acquia, Emdeon, IMS Health, Informatica, Infor, MicroStrategy, Onshape, Pegasystems, Software AG, Splunk and TIBCO.

AWS also announced new resources available to all qualified AWS Partner Network (APN) Technology Partners through the SaaS Partner Program. These resources include regular office hours with AWS experts, exclusive Webcasts, and SaaS Pilot application credits.

Ingram Micro Launches New Cloud Store

Ingram Micro expanded its Cloud Marketplace with four new cloud marketplaces and a new cloud store to support channel partners. The Cloud Store allows select channel partners to create and manage a B2C online cloud with their own branding as an extension of their existing Websites.  The global distributor also added Cloud Marketplaces in Italy, New Zealand, Spain and Sweden, joining marketplaces in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The Cloud Marketplace supports five languages and eight currencies. Authorized to sell Microsoft Cloud Services via the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program in more than 40 countries, Ingram Micro also added an enhancement to the Cloud Marketplace that enables channel partners to convert Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to the CSP program. This capability is now available in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Worldwide availability is planned in the near future.

In other company news, Ingram Micro Canada announced a new distribution agreement with Tegile Systems, a provider of flash-driven storage arrays for database, virtualized server and virtual desktop environments. Under the agreement, Tegile’s portfolio of flash arrays is available to Ingram Micro’s channel partners in Canada.

Triumfant Adds Defensative to Partner Connect Program

Triumfant, an enterprise endpoint security provider, announced Defensative, a provider of proactive enterprise-level security management services, as the latest managed security services provider (MSSP) to join the Triumfant Partner Connect program. Aimed at small and midsize businesses, Defensative enables customers to review real-time security alarms and vulnerabilities, and gives them tips on how to better protect their networks.

The partner program includes traditional resellers and MSSPs. The company expects to expand its MSSP program to 15 partners globally by year end.
