Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS) is restructuring into four new companies with each designed to boost focus, accelerate growth, and better serve their respective markets.

Restructuring breaks varied business functions into separate organizations

CGS, a provider of software applications, enterprise learning, customer experience, and business outsourcing services, announced that each company will operate independently, with Phil Friedman, CGS’s founder and CEO, transitioning into new roles as Executive Chairman for each of the new legal entities.

The four new companies include:

  • CGS: Will focus on CGS’s applications software development arm and its market-leading BlueCherry supply chain management platform for fashion brands, retailers, and manufacturers.
  • CGS Global Immersive, Inc.: A technology company offering AI, extended reality, and other advanced technology products that power next-gen workforce upskilling and collaboration.
  • CGS Global Learning, Inc.: A business transformation company delivering strategic consultation, programs, content, and delivery that support enterprise-grade corporate learning and development (L&D).
  • CGS Global Technology Services, Inc.: Features CGS’s business process outsourcing teams across the globe, including the U.S., Romania, Israel, India, Chile, and Columbia. It offers front-, middle-, and back-office solutions that empower clients across industries to focus on their own growth-driving key competencies.

“Over four decades, CGS has driven exponential growth with a diversified portfolio. I’m very proud of everything we’ve achieved together, thanks to the passion and ingenuity of our people and the collaborative work we’ve done with some of the world’s most admired companies,” said Friedman. “With the help of our new board members, each of these new businesses will sharpen their focus and agility on solving our clients’ toughest challenges in rapidly evolving markets.”

Four companies, four leaders

While Friedman transitions into a new role as Executive Chairman for each new company, four new leaders with experience across technology, fashion, learning, and global operations will join the new entities.

Joining the board of CGS will be Ari Hoffman, an executive from the fashion industry with experience in leadership with global brands including: Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, St. John, Lacoste, GANT, Benetton, Scotch & Soda, and Ted Baker.

Kamal M. Bherwani will join the board of CGS Global Immersive, Inc. as a technology and business leader with decades of experience in finance, regulatory reform, and board governance. Goldman is a former Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and is currently a managing partner at PBM Capital Group.

Lastly, Betzalel Kenigsztein is joining the board of CGS Global Technology Services, Inc., bringing over 35 years of experience leading complex, multinational operations across Latin America and Europe.
