Juniper Networks is offering a switch trade-up program  — “Switch To Juniper” — aimed at helping customers move from “legacy suppliers” to Juniper’s EX Series products, with discounts of up to 60 percent on the new switches.

Juniper says that now through Sept. 30, eligible businesses in the Americas can purchase new Juniper Ethernet Switches through an authorized Juniper partner to upgrade switches and save up to 60 percent off Juniper’s list prices.

Juniper also says that the process for partners has been streamlined.

“We have eliminated the approval process we’ve used in the past, which proved to be a deterrent," Mike Banic, vice president of Enterprise Marketing for Juniper Networks tells Channel Insider. "With this promotion, we have integrated the approval process for these discount levels into a system that simplifies administration."

Savings on the Ethernet switches are also available to existing Juniper security customers purchasing their first Juniper Ethernet switches, the company says.

"The time is right for customers to stop solving network challenges by purchasing more and more costly and complex legacy networking equipment" says Lauren Flaherty, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Juniper Networks, in a prepared statement. "The ‘Switch To Juniper’ campaign is part of our strategy to make it easy for customers who are dissatisfied with the legacy approach, to switch now to faster, simpler and more secure networks."

Juniper says that channel and strategic alliance partners participating in the program will be using a “streamlined process that expedites the sales cycle.”

Juniper’s EX2200 line of Ethernet switches, is designed for access-layer deployments in branch offices and campus networks and delivers a level of functionality and performance normally associated with higher-cost solutions, the company says.

The EX4200 switches with Virtual Chassis technology combine the availability and reliability of modular systems with the economics and flexibility of stackable switches, delivering a high-performance, scalable solution for data center and campus environments, according to Juniper.

The EX8200 line of modular switches offers flexible, modular platforms that deliver the port densities, scalability, and high availability required for today’s demanding data center and campus core environments, Juniper says.
