At the annual AWS re:Invent conference, partners and supporters of Amazon Web Services (AWS)  leveraged the show to introduce new products, capabilities and services. The AWS Marketplace is a channel for independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrators (SIs) and VARs to sell their software as integrated solutions on AWS, helping them grow their recurring revenue stream.

AWS also unveiled several new programs and initiatives to support its partner network. These include expanded APN Partner benefits, new managed service and software-as-a-service (SaaS) partner programs, and APN partner-specific training for its AWS Partner Network (APN) program.

The conference also was an opportunity for AWS to release several new services, including Amazon Aurora, a MySQL-compatible database engine for Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) that leverages the benefits of both high-end commercial databases and open-source databases; AWS Key Management Service, a fully managed service for enterprise security and governance; AWS Config, which gives customers full visibility into their AWS resources; AWS Service Catalog, which allows administrators to create and share catalogs of customized products that use company-approved standard architectures and configurations, and AWS CodeDeploy, new application lifecycle management services.

Here’s a roundup of 12 key product offerings, capabilities, and services (in alphabetical order) from AWS partners announced during the show, all designed to ease cloud deployments and management.

Accenture Speeds Migration to the Cloud

Accenture collaborated with AWS on new end-to-end cloud migration and management services to help enterprises move from cloud pilots to enterprise-wide deployments in the AWS Cloud. CTP Labs provides a proven approach to defining, architecting, building, testing and deploying cloud-based services on AWS, said the company. The expanded services will help ISVs and enterprises cloud-enable traditional software and services on AWS, speed up time to market with pre-packaged frameworks and toolsets, and reduce risk with the right cloud technologies for the businesses, taking into account technology needs such as multi-tenancy, auto-scaling, provisioning, use-based accounting, governance, management, and API development, said the company.

CTP Labs also offers business consulting services, including market analysis, business modeling and product planning, to ensure new cloud services meet marketplace requirements and customer expectations. Cloud Technology Partners also announced a new partnership with cloud services provider Cloudnexa to deliver expanded AWS offerings.
