Avnet Expands Its Hewlett Packard Enterprise Portfolio

Aiming to offer a one-stop shop for its Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) partners in the United States, Avnet is now stocking select build-to-order (BTO) servers from HPE. This will give partners more sales opportunities, increased outbound sales efforts, and the ability to leverage Avnet’s BTO, configure-to-order (CTO) capabilities and Smart Buy programs, the company said.

Avnet will carry a selection of HPE servers and blades, along with related options, including the HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 Server, HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server and HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server. Inventory will be warehoused and shipped from its Global Solutions Center, a state-of-the-art 228,000-square-foot integration and logistics facility located in Chandler, Ariz. Partner benefits include faster delivery, simplified price quoting, quicker customer project implementations and streamlined operations.

In other news, Avnet’s wholly owned subsidiary focused on the U.S. public sector, Avnet Government Solutions, expanded its General Services Administration (GSA) schedule to include Catalogic Software technology products and solutions.

Asigra Forges Partnership With Impartner

Asigra, a global cloud-based data protection software provider with a 100 percent channel-focused business model, is teaming up with Impartner, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) partner relationship management provider (PRM), to improve its online Partner Portal. Asigra develops multi-tenant cloud backup software solutions designed for managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs). The new portal gives partners more access to marketing materials via a self-service, 24/7 content hub that services partners across multiple time zones. It also provides Asigra with additional insights and metrics into the materials that partners are using the most, how often they log into the portal and lead tracking.

Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace Available in India

Ingram Micro’s opened a new Cloud Marketplace in India. The automated cloud services platform is now available in 17 countries, including five in the Asia-Pacific region, where demand for cloud services continues to grow.

In separate news, Ingram Micro announced that it has completed three acquisitions: Parallels Holdings’ Odin Service Automation Platform, the e-commerce fulfillment business of Netherlands-based DOCDATA N.V. and Grupo ACAO, a Latin American value-added distributor (VAD).

Evolve IP Joins Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program

Evolve IP is now participating in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program. The program enables the company to offer an integrated suite of Microsoft cloud services, including Office 365, Hosted Exchange, Skype for Business, Windows Intune and more.

Like all other partners participating in the program, Evolve IP will directly provision, manage and support the products and services. The company provides cloud services in nearly every industry, including health care, legal, insurance, pharmaceuticals, banking, technology, travel, veterinary medicine and retail.

LOGICnow Backup System Achieves ISO 27001 Certification

LOGICnow announced that its MAX Backup technology (along with IASO Backup), an MSP and IT hybrid cloud backup system, has achieved Information Security Management System 27001 certification (ISO 27001), an international IT security management standard. MAX Backup enables MSPs to offer a full mission-critical “disaster recovery as a service” solution, the company said.

Talend Appoints New Channel Exec

Talend, a global provider of big data integration software, appointed Michael Pickett to the newly created position of vice president, business development and partner ecosystems. His role is to help partners take advantage of the big data and next-generation analytics markets by developing new programs and initiatives, the company said. These include an increased focus on partner development and support, an expansion of VAR programs and infrastructure, and new embedded and commercial use programs.

Geometric Results Names VP of Sales

Geometric Results, an independent managed services provider (MSP), appointed James Golden as the company’s vice president of sales. He will lead the global sales team, focused on offering individualized, streamlined processes and procedures, the company said.

Centage Hires New VP of Sales

Centage, a provider of budgeting and forecasting software (Budget Maestro) for midmarket companies, has named John Murdock vice president of sales. Prior to joining Centage, Murdock was vice president of SMB and channel sales at Kaspersky Lab. He was previously senior director of worldwide channels for Juniper Networks.
