Radware, a provider of AI and application security and delivery solutions for multi-cloud environments, has announced a new cloud-augmented protection architecture for DefensePro X, which protects against distributed denial-of-service attacks (DDoS).

The new architecture will extend the platform with AI-powered cloud algorithms while keeping traffic inspection and mitigation on-premises. For channel partners, including Radware’s MSSP ecosystem, the technology addresses a core need for many customers in regulated environments.

The first available service for the architecture

Cloud Web DDoS Protection for DefensePro X is the first service released for the architecture and is designed to improve characterization and real-time footprint generation of sophisticated application-layer DDoS attacks without requiring organizations to reroute traffic through the cloud.

It’s backed by Radware’s global cloud network of over 65 cloud centers and enables customers to gain visibility into sophisticated attacks while keeping traffic inspection, mitigation, and private keys on-prem.

Data sovereignty, compliance, and web DDoS attacks top the list of needs for organizations

The service is suited for organizations with strict compliance, privacy, or data sovereignty requirements; organizations that protect applications behind content delivery networks (CDNs) and proxy architectures; and security teams defending against sophisticated, encrypted Web DDoS attacks.

Radware expands agentic AI protection

The new protection architecture comes on the heels of Radware’s expansion of its agentic AI protection with new capabilities that provide enhanced visibility into AI agent ecosystems.
