MetTel, a provider of digital transformation and communications solutions, has recently announced the launch of Connected Laptop as a Service (CLaaS).

This latest offering is designed to help reduce the labor and time-intensive burden of laptop management for on-site, hybrid, and remote workforces.

Enterprises can request devices through MetTel’s Customer Portal via the offering and ship them directly to end users, regardless of location. This releases IT teams from the burden of the deployment process.

After an order is placed, MetTel activates connectivity by leveraging its multi-carrier SingleSIM and provisions devices with the customer’s MDM agent to ensure specified profiles, security tools, and governance policies are enabled.

Next-day shipping and security top the list of benefits

MetTel’s SingleSIM delivers uninterrupted, reliable connectivity for data-only devices across any carrier, device, or location globally.

Further, MetTel’s 24/7/365 Customer Portal features next-day shipping for damaged devices and on-demand support.

“IT teams are caught in a difficult position – leadership demands enterprise-wide innovation, while device management for hundreds of thousands of endpoints consumes time and resources. Studies show that IT administrators spend nearly 100 business days managing every 1,000 devices,” said Max Silber, VP of Mobility & IoT at MetTel.

“Existing laptop solutions compound the problem by locking businesses into a single carrier with limited reach. With SingleSIM, MetTel delivers fully connected laptops from factory-to-replacement – unleashing productivity the moment devices arrive.”

In terms of security, CLaaS enables organizations to bypass vulnerable networks by delivering always-on, secure connectivity via SingleSIM, eliminating reliance on untrusted WiFi.

Additionally, MetTel distributes Connected Laptops from its own smart warehouses and fulfillment center to simplify logistics and accelerate deployment at scale.

MetTel continues streak of launching solutions

In early Q1, MetTel also launched its Utilities Expense Management (UEM) solution in general availability.

This solution centralizes billing, usage tracking, and payment management across utility accounts to provide enterprises with a single system of record of electricity, water, gas, and other services.

“Organizations across government and commercial sectors struggle with decentralized utility management, creating significant operational inefficiencies,” said Don Parente, VP of sales and solution architecture for MetTel Public Sector.

“Our UEM solution provides a single source of truth that eliminates redundancies, identifies billing errors, and delivers immediate savings through streamlined workflows and automated validation.”

Additionally, MetTel claims this solution delivers millions of dollars in savings by identifying billing errors, preventing late fees, and eliminating redundant expenses, while providing real-time visibility into consumption data and automating invoice validation and payment workflows.
