SentinelOne is acquiring Prompt Security, a startup focused on protecting generative and agentic AI tools in real time. It’s a strategic move designed to expand the company’s Singularity Platform, giving security teams deeper control over how AI is accessed, what data is shared, and how to enforce safeguards without hampering speed or adoption.

“AI is the most transformative force in the world today—but without security, it becomes a liability,” said Tomer Weingarten, CEO, SentinelOne. “With Prompt Security, we’re making it possible for every company to fully embrace GenAI and agentic AI without compromising safety and security. This is the foundation for secure AI adoption at scale.”

Prompt Security’s technology was designed to address a growing blind spot in enterprise security: the unchecked rise of GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini in the workplace. The platform integrates across browsers, desktop apps, and APIs to stop threats like prompt injection, data leakage, and model abuse before they escalate. Its design is meant to complement SentinelOne’s existing endpoint and cloud capabilities, effectively creating a more complete AI security stack.

From shadow AI to full visibility

By bringing Prompt Security into the fold, SentinelOne will offer customers:

  • Real-time visibility into GenAI usage across the enterprise, including which tools are being used, by whom, and what data is being shared.
  • Policy-based controls that enforce safe use and block risky prompts.
  • Model-agnostic coverage for tools from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and even self-hosted models.
  • Protection at the point of interaction, not after the fact.

“It became clear to us that securing AI couldn’t be an afterthought,” said Prompt Security CEO and co-founder Itamar Golan. “It required a purpose-built solution… That’s exactly what we set out to build with Prompt.”

Only two years old, Prompt Security has already established an impressive customer base, including multiple Fortune 500 companies. The platform processes millions of AI interactions monthly and recently announced an $18 million Series A round led by Jump Capital.

What’s next for Prompt Security?

The acquisition, a cash-and-stock deal, is expected to close in SentinelOne’s third fiscal quarter. Things are already in motion, though. Prompt will continue to operate as a standalone platform, with an expanded reach and tighter integration into SentinelOne’s ecosystem.

“SentinelOne shares our passion for empowering teams and organizations to embrace AI as a distinct advantage,” said Golan. “Together, we will deliver the most comprehensive, enterprise-ready AI Security platform on the market.”

SentinelOne has been steadily building its AI capabilities across endpoint, cloud, and SecOps. With Prompt now in the mix, it’s doubling down on securing the future of AI, wherever it lives.

As AI adoption grows, so do the security demands. Trend Micro and Google Cloud recently announced their expanded alliance to help organizations build secure, AI-optimized cloud environments, especially where compliance and sovereignty matter most.
