In Part 2 of this interview, Zac Paulson, Director of Product and Strategy at ABM Technology Group, explains to Channel Insider: Partner POV host Katie Bavoso the unfortunate trend of clients accepting a cybersecurity strategy and related solutions only after they’ve had a breach or close call. He says it’s driven his business to not accept clients unless they agree to ABM’s cybersecurity measures. Paulson also discusses the vendor partners that he says have been critical in helping his business grow, including IRONSCALES, SentinelOne, and Huntress, and Pax8. Paulson says the Pax8 marketplace in particular has allowed his company to keep up with demand with ease. Additionally, Paulson explains how being owned by a copy and print company, Advanced Business Methods, influences his company’s growth model. Finally, we’ll hear how Paulson and ABM Technology Group are going head-on into AI with their newest offering ABM AI – a Microsoft Copilot-based solution that the company has hired several employees to focus on and support. But while AI is dominating mindshare in the IT space, Paulson says he was skeptical of it when it first took off in the commercial market. He says while it’s a great tool, he advises uses to be cautious when using it. Paulson adds that he’s also cautious of the operations and motives of the companies behind some of the most popular LLMs and AI products.
