Nerdio has announced the extension of its Nerdio Manager for MSP platform to go beyond existing capabilities in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The platform now also includes the full Microsoft 365 suite of applications, including SharePoint. Nerdio also announced an updated pricing model and a new partnership with the Center for Internet Security (CIS).
“We’re making it easier than ever for MSPs to manage their clients’ cloud infrastructure in one place, while ensuring top-tier security and compliance,” said Vadim Vladimirskiy, CEO of Nerdio. “By integrating the full Microsoft 365 environment into Nerdio Manager for MSP and partnering with CIS, we’re providing a comprehensive cloud management suite designed to simplify operations and enhance security.”
Nerdio Manager for MSP brings visibility and management to modern work
Nerdio’s platform has historically brought management functionality to the complex world of AVD infrastructure. Now, MSPs can use the Nerdio platform to also manage the full suite of Microsoft 365 applications in addition to the existing functionality within AVD.
Among the promised capabilities for solution providers are the ability to manage file and data storage within SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange from one central location to address security and compliance needs. The platform will also offer remote access to troubleshoot issues and manage active directory users.
“Simplifying M365 management and bringing things to a centralized portal immediately lowers the training overhead and increases consistency for our Service Desk,” said Brian Charles, the Cloud Practice Lead at solutions provider Red River. “Many service desk technicians were already familiar with Azure and AVD management through NMM, and bringing more functionality to a tool we already use is a force multiplier without additional investment required.”
Updated pricing structure offers per-tenant model
Nerdio also announced the availability of a new pricing structure which now offers a per-customer model. Nerdio noted this model enables MSPs to pay a flat rate regardless of the number of clients they support, a move designed to make the platform more accessible to MSPs of various sizes.
New CIS partnership focuses on identity management to address compliance needs
The CIS and Nerdio have addressed compliance needs through new Entra ID functionality. MSPs can apply identity management and security policies across multiple environments. Red River serves government clients and Charles said they welcome the new partnership and what it means for the security of the tech stack.
“The partnership between Nerdio and CIS is extremely encouraging. Having been an MSP for over 20 years, Red River realizes MSP tools have further reach than just our internal environment. This partnership helps reassure that Nerdio does not just adding new features into their product line, but they do so in a responsible way,” said Charles.
These announcements paired with Nerdio’s existing commitment to MSP technology have Charles excited for the future of his partnership with the vendor.
“Adding broader M365 management, Defender capabilities, Unified Application Management (UAM), and console connect to NMM’s feature list has transformed Nerdio from a niche tool in our managed services organization to a primary support utility across our customer base,” Charles said. “Throughout 2025, we plan on importing the majority of the existing commercial base into Nerdio and standardizing our Unified Endpoint Management policies. The rate new features have come to the platform has been amazing, and we are looking forward to the upcoming Government Community Cloud (GCC) portal for MSPs, as well as, any other functionality the hard at work Devs give us this year.”
