Global IT and outsourcing services company Computer Generated Solutions (CGS) recently named a new chief operating officer (COO) through internal promotion. John Samuel, the newly appointed COO with eight years of experience at CGS, spoke with Channel Insider and shared how his new role will shape initiatives in 2025.

Samuel promoted to elevate AI adoption and global footprint

Samuel’s elevation to the COO role follows a six-year stint as the company’s executive vice president. Now, he will focus on operational efficiencies and other internal goals while driving the AI adoption strategies for CGS and its clients.

“As we quickly head towards 2025, my focus and goals are to drive productivity and to continue to infuse advanced technologies that deliver value to our clients,” said Samuel. “Just as important, I will continue to champion a culture of operational excellence and innovation at CGS. The timing is optimal to harness the momentum we’ve built and to propel us towards even greater achievements.”

Over the past year, CGS has already helped its vast client base in several verticals determine use cases for GenAI tools. Samuel said 2025 will accelerate that adoption rate as CGS itself continues to develop best practices internally to share with their clients.

“By integrating AI into our own operations, we not only improve our workflows but also gain insights that are essential to helping our clients achieve their AI adoption objectives,” Samuel said. “This approach enables us to lead by example, helping clients navigate their own AI transformations with confidence.”

CGS offers a variety of technology services for a diverse client base worldwide

The company’s BlueCherry suite of solutions addresses complex supply chain management needs in the fashion industry, and its wide variety of IT tools and outsourcing services help private and public enterprises worldwide with their technology operations.

“Over the years I’ve experienced first-hand the interaction between technology, operations, and our clients’ evolving needs,” said Samuel. “I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience to enhance our global operations, implement best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our company.”

CGS also enables channel partner management and can tackle an organization’s learning needs through traditional virtual training experiences and innovative approaches with augmented reality technology. The team seems poised to further innovate next year in the United States and throughout the world.
