StorMagic and Mako Networks are integrating edge hyperconverged infrastructure with secure SD-WAN in a new partnership aimed at businesses operating across large numbers of distributed locations.
The agreement combines StorMagic SvHCI, which provides edge compute, storage, and virtualization, with Mako Networks’ secure SD-WAN and cloud-managed networking platform.
The companies say the integration is designed to help organizations standardize resilient infrastructure across remote sites while giving MSPs and IT teams a more centralized way to manage connectivity, failover, and local infrastructure.
StorMagic and Mako combine edge HCI with SD-WAN
StorMagic SvHCI provides highly available compute, storage, and virtualization for edge environments, while Mako’s platform provides centralized network management, secure connectivity, and failover capabilities.
By combining the two platforms, StorMagic and Mako are aiming to give distributed organizations a more integrated way to deploy and remotely manage infrastructure across multiple sites.

The partnership also adds StorMagic to MakoVerse, Mako Networks’ ecosystem of technology partners using its networking solutions.
Partnership targets distributed retail and remote sites
The partnership addresses a particular challenge for businesses operating hundreds or thousands of geographically distributed sites. Interruptions to local infrastructure or network connectivity can affect payments, customer experience, and store operations, while limited on-site IT resources can make troubleshooting more difficult.
StorMagic and Mako are positioning local infrastructure availability, network failover, secure connectivity, and centralized remote management as complementary components of maintaining operations at these locations.

Representatives from both companies will be available for customer and partner meetings during NACS 2026 to discuss the combined approach to infrastructure availability, connectivity, and remote management.
MSPs can manage more of the remote-site infrastructure stack
The StorMagic-Mako partnership highlights an opportunity for MSPs to address resiliency across the entire remote site, rather than treating compute and connectivity as separate infrastructure layers.
That could allow providers supporting distributed businesses to build services around infrastructure availability, network failover, and remote management, particularly at locations without dedicated IT staff.
Earlier this year, Channel Insider identified edge-focused managed infrastructure as one of the I&O trends defining the channel in 2026, as MSPs increasingly bundle connectivity with virtualization and other infrastructure services.
Across customers with large numbers of distributed sites, combining these capabilities could also provide a more standardized approach to deploying and supporting critical infrastructure remotely.
