Blue Mantis, provider of digital strategy and services specializing in managed cybersecurity, AI, and cloud solutions, announced that Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Terry Richardson is set to retire, effective August 1, with Scott Pintsopoulos succeeding him in the role.
“It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together in establishing Blue Mantis as a highly regarded and bona fide IT services firm,” said Richardson. “I’m confident that Scott will continue to build on our success and accelerate our growth.”
Richardson joined Blue Mantis back in May 2023.
“Terry’s leadership has been nothing short of exceptional,” said Josh Dinneen, CEO of Blue Mantis. “He brought a wealth of experience, a passion for excellence and a commitment to mentoring the next generation of sales leaders. We are deeply grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his next chapter.”
Prior to joining Blue Mantis, Richardson led AMD’s North American channel business and served in various executive roles at HPE, including most recently as VP & GM of U.S. Enterprise Sales – East.
Pintsopoulos is being promoted from Vice President of Sales to CRO, stepping into Richardson’s shoes. He has 23 years of executive and sales management experience and joined Blue Mantis in January 2025.
“Since joining Blue Mantis, Scott has made a significant impact by enhancing our high-performing sales culture that aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional value to clients,” said Dineen. “Scott’s prior experience as a CRO and his collaborative leadership style position him well for success in this new role. I am confident that Scott is the right leader to continue advancing the go-to-market initiatives that Terry began. Scott will work closely with Terry throughout July to ensure a seamless transition for Blue Mantis customers and partners.”
Pintsopoulos meanwhile added that he is “honored to take on this new role and grateful for the opportunity to lead such a talented team.”
“Terry has been a tremendous mentor, and I look forward to continuing the work we started to drive growth, innovation, and customer success.”
Blue Mantis’ strategic approach to growth
Richardson has been a strong advocate for the MSP’s mission over the years, recently speaking with Channel Insider about Blue Mantis’ approach to the acquisition process, cultural fits, and other plans for 2025.
“Part of what you look for in an acquisition is for one plus one to equal more than two,” Richardson told Channel Insider’s Victoria Durgin. “As we started to get to know some of the people, we were struck by the technical capabilities they brought and by the cultural fit they had with us.”
Richardson also had a recent sit down with Channel Insider’s Katie Bavoso to talk about Blue Mantis’ guide to MSP growth and a “do-no-harm” approach to mergers and acquisitions.
Speaking of acquisitions, Blue Mantis grew its northeast presence earlier this year by acquiring three Vermont-headquartered MSPs. Read more about this acquisition and the new business opportunities it provides Blue Mantis.
