At the Public Sector Summit 2025, Google Public Sector (GPS) announced a new set of investments in its partner ecosystem to deepen collaboration and empower partners to capitalize on AI.

GPS partner programs see new funding and training pathways

The investments GPS is making in partner-focused programs include:

  • Expanded Rapid Innovation Team (RIT) partner funding: The organization is increasing investment in its Rapid Innovation Team Partner Funding Pilot to support more partners in working with the RIT to build and deliver repeatable, high-fidelity solutions within and across federal, state, and local governments, as well as the higher education sector.
  • Doubled training capacity: Doubling the capacity for their Partner Development Sprints to help partners in building critical technical skills and specializations in a 120-day path.
  • Targeted opportunity advancement: They are also increasing their Deal Acceleration Funds (DAF) to directly invest in shortening the sales cycle for strategic, high-value deals.

“To meet the unprecedented demand for AI and security solutions, we are doubling down on making it easier, faster, and more profitable to partner with Google Public Sector,” Jim Kelly, Vice President Federal, Google Public Sector, wrote in a LinkedIn post. “We know the federal mission runs on trust and accreditation. That’s why we are prioritizing programs that deliver a strategic advantage.”

Enabling co-selling opportunities

To complement investments in partner-focused programs, Google Public Sector is also enhancing alignment between sales and partner teams to accelerate co-selling and create a seamless “one-customer” experience.

These enhancements include:

  • New Google Public Sector Partner Expertise Badges: The organization is launching three new badges in its Partner Expertise Badge Program, aligned with critical customer needs: Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), Infrastructure Modernization, and Gemini for Government.
  • Streamlined subcontracting: The company’s new Google Public Sector Services Subcontractor Program has been established to create a transparent, standardized process for selecting subcontracting partners and ensuring partners are selected consistently for individual projects.

Boosting speed-to-market for ISVs

Additionally, GPS is working to accelerate time-to-market for Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners with new investments.

These include:

  • ATO Accelerator Program expansion: The enterprise is expanding the ISV ATO Accelerator Program– providing up to $250,000 in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) credits and up to $500,000 in services reimbursements per partner, easing the pathway to Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and Impact Level accreditations.
  • Improved marketplace access: The ISV ATO Accelerator Program helps ISVs enter private marketplaces faster, including JWCC and C2E.
  • Increased ISV support: The organization is also increasing resources to support ISVs, ensuring partners can build on GCP and co-sell with their field teams.

Simplified collaboration

Lastly, Google Public Sector is launching new tools to make it easier to partner with them. Among the tools are:

  • Partner Demo Portal enhancements: The Partner Demo Portal will receive some upgrades based on partner feedback. The new portal will be designed to enable partners with greater visibility, deeper insights, and a more seamless collaborative experience. The key enhancements include:
    • Enhanced discovery: This will allow partners to find the proper demo faster with improved filtering by government type, industry, and application.
    • Actionable analytics: Partners will be able to track search appearances, views, and saves to see the traction their solutions are gaining with Google Public Sector sales teams.
    • Transparent collaboration: A new submission and review workflow provides clear, timely feedback from GPS partner engineers.
    • Showcase success: Partners will now be able to add customer references and highlight “golden assets” with demos that include a pitch deck, functional demo, and pricing estimations.
  • Training investments: Google Public Sector is also investing in new self-service labs and instructor-led bootcamps focused on public-sector use cases to help partners grow faster.

“These initiatives are all backed by our commitment to partnership,” writes Austin Adams, Director, Partners, Google Public Sector, in a blog post. “We deliver what no other provider can: a full-stack AI solution with multi-party and open source AI models, and a unified AI platform– all powered by our secure custom silicon, chips, and global infrastructure.”

According to Adams, Google Public Sector will continue to lean on partners as mission accelerators, critical to helping public sector organizations successfully adopt AI, enhance cybersecurity, and modernize operations.
