Cisco, EMC, VMware Take Pre-Packaged Data Center Solution Vblock to Channel Partners
Cisco, EMC and VMware have created a new alliance called the Virtual Computing Environment coalition to help speed time to deployment and time to benefit for its pre-integrated data center solutions. In addition, Cisco and EMC have created a joint venture called Acadia that will focus on private cloud build outs.
Westcon's Comstor to Offer Cisco's Unified Computing System
Cisco's data center play in the form of its soup-to-nuts Unified Computing System will now be more available through the channel following a deal with distributor Westcon. Cisco's UCS solutions will now be carried by Westcon's Comstor.
VARs Get More Options for Electronic Medical Records
Six months ago VARs looking to help their health care customers get up to speed with electronic medical records and take advantage of economic stimulus funds were mostly out of luck because few IT vendors offering EMRs were channel-friendly. Ingram Micro CEO Says Windows 7 Not Panacea, but Still Positive
