There are a number of companies that will buy or take back used electronic equipment, refurbish it and resell it. As electronics lifecycle becomes more of an issue, this is a critical service VARs can offer their customers. Many distributors that serve VARs in the IT marketplace already offer the service to VARs through a third party.
