    Symbol Technologies and Dimension Data Partner on Enterprise Mobility Solutions

    HOLTSVILLE, N.Y.--Symbol Technologies last week welcomed Dimension Data, a global mobility solutions provider, into its PartnerSelect program.

    The partnership enables Dimension Data to offer comprehensive mobility solutions by integrating Symbol's core technologies of ruggedized mobile computers, wireless infrastructure, advanced data capture and mobility software with Dimension Data's network services, application development and integration, and managed services.

    Dimension Data last month announced the formation of an enterprise mobility practice.

    "Dimension Data is a large, trusted partner to a global list of well known and important customers," said Jan Burton, vice president of worldwide channels, Symbol Technologies.

    "This partnership provides Symbol greater scope into markets such as retail, transportation and logistics, healthcare, government and manufacturing, and helps deepen our relationship with the Fortune 1000 customer segment where we already have a presence. Together, we bring enterprise mobility solutions to a number of new mid-tier customers."
