    Riverbed Launches Partner Network

Riverbed Technology Inc., a San Francisco-based vendor specializing in wide-area data services solutions, has launched a partner program for its Steelhead appliances.

VARs and integrators can participate in the Riverbed Partner Network at one of two levels—Certified and Premier.

Certified, or entry-level, partners receive discounts, technical support, training and certification, sales lead distribution, a dedicated account manager, co-marketing funds, sales and marketing tools, and more.

    Resource Library:
Premier partners receive all of these benefits, plus increased discounts and rebates on net product sales. Premier partners must meet sales quotas.

    Route1 Debuts Channel Program

Route1 Inc., a wireless remote computing vendor based in New York, has announced a new channel program to help the company expand its customer base.

Aimed at channel partners specializing in security, networking and wireless applications, the MobiAlliance program is divided up into four segments. MobiBlue-level partners are consultants that recommend and consult on projects, while MobiSilver and MobiGold partners are technically trained and certified resellers of Route1's products. MobiPlatinum partners can sell to other MobiAlliance members and work with them on after-sales support.

SANRAD Adds Tiers to Partner Program

SANRAD Inc., a San Mateo, Calif.-based vendor of iSCSI (Internet SCSI) IP SAN (storage area network) solutions, has expanded its iPartner program.

The revamped program now offers three tiers. The Reseller level includes channel partners who can buy discounted SANRAD products through distributor Ingram Micro Inc., while iPartners are small and midsize resellers and solution providers with access to sales incentives and programs, marketing opportunities and sales leads.

To qualify to be an iPartner, resellers must have a dedicated engineering staff and standard SANRAD technical support, and must generate more than $2 million in overall annual business revenue.

The Premium iPartner level consists of large regional or national VARs. Resellers that qualify for this level receive lead registration, deal protection, significant discounts on SANRAD products, and performance and volume-based rebates and sales incentives.

Premium iPartners must be willing to have their engineering staffs undergo SANRAD certification, have a dedicated technical support hotline and be willing to meet specific sales goals.
