Branding can play a huge part in an end user's purchasing decision, and if you are not carrying the right brands—that is, vendors—then customers may choose to go elsewhere. Therefore it is worth looking at the existing brands that your customer base has already chosen. Are they smaller players or the major stalwarts? Most solutions are likely to be multivendor, but customers will have one of two dominant brands within their infrastructure.
