Avnet Technology Solutions (ATS) continues to build out its services and capabilities to meet increasing demand from its channel partners for new, emerging technologies related to convergence, cloud computing, big data, social and mobility. The IT distributor also focuses on meeting the needs of and driving opportunities for partners in specific vertical markets. In many cases, channel partners need help with their go-to-market strategies, which also includes education and training, to leverage bigger opportunities in their vertical space. On the flip side, the IT distribution giant also needs to support its vendors and help them bring product to market. One way ATS does this is by building practices and bundling products and services around a vendor's technology. One of the most recent launches is the Avnet Practice+ for Analytics, which delivers big data initiatives based on HP Vertica Analytics and Converged Infrastructure platforms. This practice benefits both HP and channel partners by delivering integrated, packaged solutions. Channel Insider shares 10 key facts about ATS.
