Flowroute Launches New Reseller Partner Program

Flowroute, an IP carrier providing advanced calling and messaging services, formally launched its Flowroute Reseller Partner Program to provide IT and managed service providers (MSPs) with the tools, training and support to deliver communication solutions to enterprises. Flowroute has enrolled more than 50 North American partners into its Reseller Partner Program, including MetroTech, OpenIP Solutions and Steadfast Telecommunications.

Key features of the program include a Flowroute Manager portal, sales and technical training, customer marketing materials and priority support for qualifying resellers. Other benefits include discounted pricing, and an initial $25 credit for members to test the service and integration.

The Flowroute Reseller Program is open to IT and managed service providers, particularly those with a strong software-as-a-service (SaaS) focus and a business model built around providing value-added services and solutions.

Blue Medora Launches Partner Program for VMware Resellers

Blue Medora announced the global launch of its new True Visibility Partner Program to help resellers grow their VMware vSphere and vRealize Operations business. A key part of the program is easy-to-use management tools that will enable target growth of up to 40 percent for vSphere and VRealize business, according to the company. Resources include a Web portal offering flexible registration to protect opportunities early in sales engagement, exclusive sales support, 24/7 online quoting, enablement tools, and training and access to certified sales and engineering support.

FireEye Forges Alliance With Ingram Micro

FireEye and Ingram Micro signed an agreement for the distributor to market, sell and support FireEye security products in the United States and Canada. The new alliance provides Ingram Micro's channel partners in the United States and Canada access to FireEye's advanced threat protection across the network, email and endpoint. As part of the new Ingram Micro relationship, FireEye will become a 2016 sponsor of the Trust X Alliance, the IT channel's community for top-performing vendors, service providers and VARs.

Tufin Enhances Channel Program

Tufin, a provider of Security Policy Orchestration solutions, announced several enhancements to its channel program and the addition of seven new channel partners in North America and Latin America. New program benefits include a global team of dedicated channel managers for guidance and support, joint business plans, an enhanced certification program, an improved partner portal, an enhanced deal-registration program, quarterly incentive and SPIFF programs, and a bi-monthly partner-exclusive webinar series to update the channel. In addition, Gold partners receive dedicated marketing support.

Tech Data Providing Warranty Attach Services for HPE, HP Inc.

Tech Data is offering warranty attach services for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. authorized reseller partners. The services will enable solution providers to "quickly locate and seamlessly select the warranty that best fits" HPE and HP hardware purchases, Tech Data said.

PKWARE Signs Up 3 Channel Partners

PKWARE, a provider of smart encryption, added three new partners—Emagined Security, JCS & Associates and Prevalent—to its PKWARE Partner Program. Under the agreements, PKWARE is a preferred technology partner for each of these security providers, expanding the reach of the company's encryption products in North America. This is part of the company's growth strategy to recruit and develop security-centric partners.

Earlier this year, PKWARE signed up Intuitive Technology Group as a partner and tapped ex-Symantec veteran Rick Hofmann to lead the PKWARE Partner Program.

Ingram Micro Mobility Canada Partners With Phobio

Ingram Micro Mobility Canada, a subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc., will enhance its trade value for customers via a new partnership with Phobio, a retail mobile device trade-in provider. The partnership strengthens Ingram Micro Mobility's mobile device buyback capabilities and trade-in services in Canada. Phobio currently partners with more than 5,000 retail locations to provide trade-in services throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.

In other news, Ingram Micro secured a state of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) contract to resell Xplore Technologies' complete lineup of rugged tablet computers. The DIR contract, valid through October 2016, enables state and local governments, public education institutes and other public agencies in Texas to buy any of Xplore's ultra-rugged, fully rugged or rugged tablet PCs and accessories through Ingram Technologies and its assigned reseller vendors.

littleBits Inks Distribution Deal With CDW-G

Hardware startup littleBits is expanding its education business through a distribution agreement with CDW-G, a provider of technology solutions to education, government and health care. Under the agreement, CDW-G will offer littleBits products as part of its technology solutions portfolio with a focus on its domestic education channel.

Unified Office Inc., a managed services provider offering hybrid cloud-based voice over IP (VOIP), unified communications and advanced analytics, announced that TeamLogic IT has chosen Unified Office's Total Connect Now Managed Communications Service as its preferred business-class communication partner for their system of 100 franchisees nationwide. Total Connect Now integrates voice communications, service-level monitoring, business continuity, and business analytics tools for the small and midsize business (SMB).

Comtrend Intros End-to-End Surveillance Solutions

Comtrend launched its new end-to-end surveillance solution with local and cloud storage options. Offering new recurring revenue opportunities for service providers, these surveillance solutions will include the hardware, software and support needed for service providers to deploy surveillance systems for their customers. With the cloud storage, service providers can offer multiple new services such as active system status monitoring and concierge services. They also will be able to actively monitor the health of their customers' surveillance systems with features, such as motion sensor alerts, camera connect/disconnect alerts, and recording start/stop alerts.

BitTitan Releases Microsoft Azure Starter Kit

BitTitan, a cloud services provider, launched the Microsoft Azure Starter Kit to help drive new revenue for IT service providers. The starter kit is available exclusively through BitTitan's end-to-end cloud services enablement platform, MSPComplete. The kit offers tools and sales education to help partners sell, on-board and service Microsoft Azure without special training or certifications. The kit is comprised of three key components: HealthCheck for Azure, Database Migration and Cloud Storage Migration.

Avanan Delivers Cloud-Based Check Point Security Solutions

Avanan, a provider of security solutions for the cloud, announced a partnership with Check Point Software Technologies, a pure-play security vendor. Under the agreement, Avanan will offer cloud-based versions of Check Point's data protection solutions for malware, data loss and encryption to safeguard Office 365, Box, Google Apps, Salesforce and other enterprise SaaS applications. These cloud-native versions of Check Point's privacy and compliance products are only available on the Avanan platform. When combined with Avanan's automated response and remediation engine, they offer a defense-in-depth, policy-governance solution, the company said.

CertBlaster Adds Practice Tests for CompTIA A+ Exams

CertBlaster claims to be the first to market with practice tests for the CompTIA IT Support Technician A+ 220-901 (Hardware) and 220-902 (Software) certification exams. The CertBlaster product is an Internet application that simulates the exam environment at the testing center. It helps candidates prepare for the A+ exam by providing more than 1,000 A+ practice test questions, answers and explanations. These questions include performance-based and in-simulator questions. The user also receives eight full A+ exam simulations. The tests are available in three user modes: Assessment, Study and Certification.

Continuum Adds Backup Specialist to IT Certification Program

Continuum University, an interactive online learning center at Continuum, a channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed IT services solutions, has added a certification program for Continuity247, the company's fully managed backup and disaster recovery platform, which proactively monitors, troubleshoots and remediates problems to ensure backups continuously run for its clients. The free IT certification program is designed to help its MSP partners and their technicians to get up to speed quickly on Continuum's products.

LogMeln Selects Aria Systems Billing Platform

LogMeIn, a provider of SaaS and cloud-based remote connectivity services, has chosen Aria Systems' cloud-based billing and active monetization platform to support its growing customer base and expanding product portfolio. The Aria solution replaces the company's existing internal, home-grown solution to help the firm as it broadens its product portfolio.

BeyondTrust Names VP of Strategic Alliances

BeyondTrust, a cyber-security company, named Joseph Schramm as its vice president of Strategic Alliances to further develop channel programs and strategic partnerships. Serving as a key player on BeyondTrust's executive management team, Schramm will oversee the company's global channel program as well as the company's systems integrator and solution provider relationships.

Promapp Hires Global Channel Manager

Promapp Solutions, a provider of cloud-based business process management software for creating and managing business processes online, has named Vivienne Larsen as the company's global channel manager. She will be responsible for driving new cloud subscription revenue opportunities in the United States and globally through new and existing Promapp partners, including process consultants, consulting firms and IT services companies. Promapp opened its first U.S. office in San Francisco earlier this year.
