Acronis Launches New Partner Program

Acronis, a provider of hybrid cloud data protection, extended its global partner program with the new Acronis Partner Program for Cloud. The new program is designed to accelerate cloud data protection services revenue with a subscription model for service providers, distributors and cloud resellers. The program includes marketing, incentives, technical training and certification as well as simplified partner on-boarding and free Web-based sales tools and enablement programs.

The new program supports any deployment model, including service provider-hosted, Acronis-hosted and hybrid, and any business model with licensing flexibility. This includes turnkey cloud data protection services and offerings that are more deeply integrated into partner technology and services portfolios, the company said.

The program also features multiple tiers that reward a partner's sales performance, certification commitment and marketing collaboration. Incentives include stackable profit margins, incremental margins for deal registration, rebates and incremental accelerators. Partners also have access to demand-generation support and co-op and market development fund programs.

Samsung Enhances Channel Program

Samsung Electronics America enhanced its channel partner program—the Samsung Team of Empowered Partners (STEP)—with new marketing services, as well as a professional training system. New resources rolling out in 2016 can increase expertise in target markets, including health care, hospitality, education, retail, financial services and federal government. Samsung's channel focus for 2016 centers on four key areas: "driving greater demand through partners, accelerating knowledge transfer, increasing partner profitability and simplifying platforms." New developments include Marketing Concierge Services and the new Samsung Business Academy, a training and certification program.

HEAT Software Expands MSP Program

HEAT Software, a provider of cloud service management and unified endpoint management (UEM) software solutions, launched HEAT MSP Cloud, a service management solution designed for MSPs serving the midmarket. The program enables midmarket MSPs to market, sell, deploy and support their customers' entire service management implementation from a single, multi-tenant platform delivered through its cloud infrastructure. The HEAT MSP Cloud platform is initially available in North America with plans to expand globally in 2016.

Continuum Adds Online Resources for MSPs

Continuum, an IT management platform company, has added resources to its MSPedia, an online collection of product-agnostic, educational articles for managed IT services. New resources include MSP pricing strategies, how to choose the right cloud platform, targeting managed services verticals  and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance. Since launching MSPedia in July 2015, the company has posted 12 articles on various topics for MSP partners. The company also announced a new integration with Accelo, a professional services automation (PSA) platform. This integration gives Continuum's MSP partners the option to adopt a fully synchronized workflow by combining Continuum's technical tools for MSPs with Accelo's business tools.

Ingram Micro, CounterPath Ink Distribution Deal

CounterPath, a global provider of over-the-top unified communications solutions for enterprises and carriers, signed an agreement with Ingram Micro. Under the agreement, Ingram Micro will distribute CounterPath's Bria Softphones and Stretto Platform via its reseller network, targeting both small and midsize businesses and enterprises.

Keeper, Verizon Ink Distribution Partnership

Keeper, an enterprise password management software platform, forged a new distribution partnership with Verizon. Under the agreement, Verizon will sell Keeper Enterprise to its corporate customers via the Verizon Partner Program. Keeper's business product, Keeper Enterprise, is a software platform that provides both password management and secure digital file storage for corporate customers.

ioSafe Delivers New Hybrid BDR

ioSafe, a provider of disaster-tolerant data storage solutions, announced the availability of the ioSafe BDR 515, touted as a unique fire-proof and waterproof hybrid backup and disaster recovery (BDR) appliance. The product is designed to eliminate downtime, protect data and provide near-zero recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs), even during times of Internet outage, the company said. The BDR 515 enables data to be protected on-site as well as replicated to the cloud. The new offering is available exclusively via its channel partners.

Synoptek Acquires EarthLink's IT Services Business

Synoptek, a worldwide IT managed services provider, has acquired EarthLink's IT Services business. In addition to expanding its portfolio of IT managed services for enterprises, the acquisition will expand the company's skill sets, 24/7 coverage and strategic IT sourced solutions for their joint customers, the company said. Core services offered in the United States and Europe include 24/7 IT management of customer IT systems, managed cloud solutions, managed security, end-user support and IT advisory/consulting solutions.

Green House Data Launches Channel Program

Green House Data, a provider of data center services, including cloud hosting, co-location and disaster recovery, launched its Channel Partner Program for value-added resellers and MSPs. Partnership options include white label, reseller, and agent models. Program benefits include 15-minute "hear from a human" response time SLAs, nationwide service with seven regional locations and best-fit assessments that align IT objectives to infrastructure spend.

Barracuda Enhances Web Application Security Service

Barracuda introduced the new Barracuda Vulnerability Manager, a cloud-based service to help customers detect vulnerabilities in their Websites and applications running in on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. The new offering is available to Barracuda authorized resellers and customers at no cost for a limited time with a valid Barracuda subscription. It can be centrally managed through Barracuda Cloud Control, a Web-based portal that allows users to manage Barracuda products and services from a single interface.

Brother Introduces New High-Print Volume Laser Models  

Brother International introduces its new series of monochrome laser printers and all-in-ones, targeting companies with high-print volumes. The business-class machines offer enterprise-level security, highly scalable paper handling, and high-yield supplies with low-cost output. The super-high-yield toner cartridge can print approximately 12,000 pages, and for lower-cost printing, an ultra-high-yield replacement toner cartridge can print approximately 20,000 pages. The new offering is available through the Brother Authorized Partner Program (BAPP) resellers, as well as direct market resellers, dealers and office superstore contract resellers.

Carousel Industries Appoints VP of Managed Services

Carousel Industries, a provider of communication and network technologies, professional and managed services, and cloud solutions, named Rich Montefusco as vice president of managed services. Montefusco will lead the company's managed services practice strategy.

DocuSign Names Channel Head

DocuSign, a provider of eSignature and digital transaction management, has appointed Mark Register as the company's senior vice president of business development and channels. He will lead the company's business development and channel partner engagement globally. Register was previously an IBM vice president and most recently led the company's global software channel.
