Tech Data Enhances Its Cloud Program

Tech Data continues to expand its cloud business with several additions to its TDCloud product portfolio. TDCloud, powered by StreamOne, is the distributor's end-to-end provisioning, billing and marketing platform for solution providers. The proprietary platform will be available to resellers and managed service providers (MSPs) to share with end users through white-label stores later this year.

Tech Data also expanded its cloud portfolio with several new agreements. The distributor announced an exclusive agreement with BitTitan, a cloud-enablement provider of end-to-end solutions for migration and on-boarding, to offer its suite of software solutions throughout Europe. BitTitan will be available to solution providers globally via the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store.

Tech Data also announced that TDCloud now offers the full portfolio of SkyKick products to its solution providers in the United States. SkyKick's products enable IT solution providers to move their customers' businesses to Microsoft Office 365. The portfolio also is available in the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store.

Another addition to the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store includes Office 365 Adoption via an agreement with MessageOps and CloudGenera's suite of solutions, such as assessment offerings and a cloud analytics platform. The distributor also announced its plan to offer Insightly, a CRM software company that integrates with Microsoft Office 365/Outlook 2013.

AWS Adds Partners, Resources

Amazon Web Services (AWS), announced that Looker, Qlik, Sumo Logic and Works Applications are the latest enterprise software providers building their solutions on the AWS Cloud. These partners join other ISVs, including Acquia, Emdeon, IMS Health, Informatica, Infor, MicroStrategy, Onshape, Pegasystems, Software AG, Splunk and TIBCO.

AWS also announced new resources available to all qualified AWS Partner Network (APN) Technology Partners through the SaaS Partner Program. These resources include regular office hours with AWS experts, exclusive Webcasts, and SaaS Pilot application credits.

Ingram Micro Launches New Cloud Store

Ingram Micro expanded its Cloud Marketplace with four new cloud marketplaces and a new cloud store to support channel partners. The Cloud Store allows select channel partners to create and manage a B2C online cloud with their own branding as an extension of their existing Websites.  The global distributor also added Cloud Marketplaces in Italy, New Zealand, Spain and Sweden, joining marketplaces in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The Cloud Marketplace supports five languages and eight currencies. Authorized to sell Microsoft Cloud Services via the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program in more than 40 countries, Ingram Micro also added an enhancement to the Cloud Marketplace that enables channel partners to convert Office 365 Advisor subscriptions to the CSP program. This capability is now available in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Worldwide availability is planned in the near future.

In other company news, Ingram Micro Canada announced a new distribution agreement with Tegile Systems, a provider of flash-driven storage arrays for database, virtualized server and virtual desktop environments. Under the agreement, Tegile's portfolio of flash arrays is available to Ingram Micro's channel partners in Canada.

Triumfant Adds Defensative to Partner Connect Program

Triumfant, an enterprise endpoint security provider, announced Defensative, a provider of proactive enterprise-level security management services, as the latest managed security services provider (MSSP) to join the Triumfant Partner Connect program. Aimed at small and midsize businesses, Defensative enables customers to review real-time security alarms and vulnerabilities, and gives them tips on how to better protect their networks.

The partner program includes traditional resellers and MSSPs. The company expects to expand its MSSP program to 15 partners globally by year end.

Nintex Enhances Its Global Partner Program

Nintex enhanced its Nintex Global Partner Network by introducing differentiated tiers, new self-service training and certifications, and core marketing assets. The company recognizes solution and technology partner models and offers three tiers of partnerships: Premier, Certified and Registered. The company now offers 24/7 self-service training modules to help partners get up-to-speed on Nintex tools as well as core and specialized certifications.

All core content is provided to training providers for free. The new Nintex Partner Portal offers enhanced content and single sign-on to multiple Nintex properties, including key CRM functionality, in addition to a Learning Center and Marketing Center that includes playbooks, how-to guides, campaigns and a new Joint Lead Generation funding request form.

Red Hat Launches Certified Cloud and Service Provider Program

Red Hat launched its new global Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider program, replacing its existing Certified Cloud Provider program. The new program expands Red Hat's cloud ecosystem to include and better support distributors, managed service providers and other partners that are focused on all aspects of hybrid cloud build-out. To become a Certified Cloud and Service Provider, each provider must meet testing and certification requirements.

Carbonite Extends Free Trial Offer Through Channel Partners

Carbonite, a provider of cloud and hybrid business continuity solutions for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), expanded its free trial program to its global network of distributors, national solutions providers and more than 6,000 channel partners. Carbonite partners can now offer their customers full-feature, no-obligation trials of the Carbonite Server Pro Bundle, which includes both server and workstation backup technology.

Peak 10 Debuts Hosted Private Cloud Service

Peak 10, a national IT infrastructure and cloud services provider, expanded its cloud service portfolio with the addition of the Peak 10 Hosted Private Cloud. The new addition is an off-premise private cloud that is designed with dedicated compute and storage resources and purpose-built solely for each organization. Self-service tools are available via the Peak 10 customer portal.

Kovarus Offers Cloud Enablement Platform

Systems integrator Kovarus announced an enterprise-ready cloud-enablement platform that is said to deliver a true hybrid cloud solution. The Kovarus Cloud Enablement Platform enables users to select the best public, private or hybrid cloud solution.

The company provides a single solution center, where organizations can test products before purchasing and implementing them. The platform can be evaluated through the Kovarus Proven Solution Center, either in-person or remotely.

Arrow Expands Value Recovery Operation

Arrow Electronics plans to expand its Value Recovery operation in Dallas. The expansion, expected to be completed this fall, will double the facility's capacity to process smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices for secure reuse or divestment.
