Passportal Unveils New Cloud Partner Program

Passportal's new Cloud Partner Program is designed to allow VARs, managed service providers (MSPs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) to rebrand and resell its cloud-based password protection and management as a service. The programs provide partners with the tools and training required to rebrand and resell the mobile-optimized management-as-a-service.

The program offers three partner tiers: Certified (10+ seats); Select (100+ seats) and Premier Partner (500+ seats). Key features include dedicated Passportal Partner account managers and enablement resources and incentives based on volume such as on-demand webinars, re-brandable marketing resources, sales and technical training, and lead generation and complimentary licenses.

Passportal offers channel partners a fully refundable Passportal Reseller Starter Package, which includes technical and sales training modules, five internal user seats, 10 client-based user seats and a portfolio of white-labeled marketing collateral, including an animated video, presentation slide deck, value positioning product flyers and introductory newsletters.

Ingram Micro Delivers EMV-Compliant Solutions

Ingram Micro expanded its EMV-compliant (Europay, Mastercard and Visa compliant) offerings by adding the ability to load new software and secure key encryption data directly to payment terminals and devices on behalf of its channel partners. The new solutions enable channel partners to more easily address growing demand for chip-and-pin solutions, according to the global IT distributor.

Ingram Micro passed the electronic payment industry's PCI PIN Security Requirements and Accredited Standards Committee's TR-39 audit. Together, these new services and authorizations, allow Ingram Micro to provide key injection services in-house at its secure facility located at its distribution center. The global EMV payment standard requires all retailers and other businesses that accept credit and debit cards to be compliant by Oct. 15, 2015.

Quick Heal Inks New Distribution Agreements

Expanding its North American channel program, Quick Heal Technologies, a global IT security provider, signed new distribution agreements with TechWise Networks, Rain Networks and EIGRS. Quick Heal's SEQRITE network security product line, the foundation of the channel program, targets small and midsize enterprises (SMEs). SEQRITE is available exclusively through the IT channel.

Digium, Global Convergence Extend Distribution Partnership 

Digium announced that Global Convergence Inc., a value-added distributor of business telephony and technology products, has joined the Digium Cloud Agent Program as a master agent. The agreement allows Global Convergence partners to expand their portfolios with Digium's Switchvox Cloud Unified Communications (UC) business phone system and Digium SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking services. Digium offers an "all features included" pricing model for the Switchvox Cloud, making it easier to choose and deploy an advanced business phone system, according to the company.

NaviSite Expands VMware Partnership

NaviSite, a Time Warner Cable company, has expanded its offerings with VMware to deliver a wide portfolio of cloud, self-service and managed technologies. As a member of VMware's vCloud Air Network Service Provider Program, NaviSite will combine VMware technology with its enterprise-class hosting and managed cloud services to enable customers to expand their cloud infrastructure. The expanded relationship will also give NaviSite earlier access to new VMware technology and platform updates. Businesses can "test drive" the NaviSite cloud, powered by VMware vCloud technology, which is complimentary for 30 days.

Dunbar Cybersecurity Adds TrapX DeceptionGrid

TrapX Security, a global provider of deception-based cyber-security defense technology, has entered into a partnership with Dunbar Cybersecurity, a provider of cyber-security solutions for a range of industries. The partnership enables Dunbar to use the TrapX DeceptionGrid as part of its managed security services offerings, while strengthening TrapX's position in the North American managed security service provider (MSSP) space.

CloudHealth Enhances Cloud Management Platform for Service Providers

CloudHealth Technologies, a provider of IT service management for the cloud, debuted new enhancements of its CloudHealth platform for service providers, which include MSPs, VARs and systems integrators (SIs). The CloudHealth platform for service providers is part of the company's Cloud Business Accelerator Program.

The platform, which allows service providers to manage numerous customer accounts through a single console, now incorporates new governance, policy and automation capabilities. The new features enable partners to create policies that assess risks and exposure across their cloud infrastructure, define rules and guidelines for daily operational best practices, consider resource utilization, and reinforce resource and cost accountability across the company.

ReadyNetworks, Cosentry Partnership Targets SMBs

ReadyNetworks, a provider of IT and managed services for the SMB market, and Cosentry, an IT solutions provider, announced a plan to bring enterprise-class IT infrastructure and managed services to the small and midsize business marketplace.

The partnership expands ReadyNetworks' regional presence and product portfolio of IT services for SMBs by leveraging Cosentry's nine data centers in key Midwest markets as its exclusive data center and enterprise managed services partner. IT services include managed IT, business continuity/disaster recovery, data center services, cloud solutions, managed security and compliance, risk assessment, help desk/IT support and unified communications.

F5 Expands Services, Partner Portal

F5 Networks announced a major software release of it hybrid platform of services. The new BIG-IP version 12.0 improves the agility, security and performance of cloud application deployments, according to the company. The company also announced its new channel partner portal, Partner Central, which provides up-to-date information about the company's channel programs as well as selling and marketing resources.

QTS Beefs Up Managed Security Services Portfolio

QTS Realty Trust, a provider of data center facilities and cloud services, enhanced its suite of cloud-based security services that includes QTS managed security services. These offerings—QTS Network Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and QTS Log Management—address compliance reporting, analyze security events and reduce exposure. The portfolio of services, powered by Alert Logic, integrates with complex hybrid IT environments, and offers customer network visibility to identify and mitigate network threats and vulnerabilities.

Hortonworks Joins EMC Partner Program

Hortonworks signed a reseller agreement with EMC as a select partner in EMC's Technology Connect Partner Program. The agreement enables EMC to resell the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP), claimed as the industry's only 100-percent open-source data platform powered by Apache Hadoop. This agreement builds on Hortonworks and EMC's existing relationship. HDP is one of the Hadoop offerings on the EMC Isilon Data Lake Foundation. Both Hortonworks and EMC are members of the Open Data Platform initiative focused on simplifying adoption of Apache Hadoop for the enterprise.

Autotask to Acquire Soonr

Autotask, a provider of hosted IT business management technology, announced its plans to acquire Soonr, a provider of enterprise secure file sharing and collaboration services for IT business managers. Soonr offers a file sharing and synchronization (FSS) solution with enterprise-grade functionality in a hybrid-cloud environment. The expanded offerings will provide Autotask MSP and channel partners with a solution to manage enterprise data, ensure business continuity and reduce risk.

AMREL Simplifies Reseller Program for Android Tablets

AMREL, a rugged computer supplier, announced a simplified reseller program for value-added resellers (VARs) and resellers to distribute the Flexpedient AT80 Android tablets. Key features of the program include no minimum orders, "no-hassle" contracts and full marketing support, the company said.

Cisco Recognizes Netsync Network as Tech Provider Partner

Cisco recognizes Netsync Network Solutions as a Telehealth Authorized Technology Provider (ATP). This designation means the company has met the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support Cisco Telehealth solutions. The Cisco Authorized Technology Provider Program is part of the company's go-to-market strategy for emerging technologies. The program is designed to help Cisco define the knowledge, skills and services that channel partners need to sell, deploy and support an emerging technology.
